but now that Oda has cleared it, that its not the case, ill be thinking of a new theory

I like how the visual quality was fantastic for this movie, I wish it could have been like this for the anime as well, but that will probably happen 4-5 years from now, when technology allows it without being so expensive.
As I said - I believe that there have been tons of hints all over ever since Arabasta. Only thin and really hard to catch hints that are like a part of a puzzle that if you put together, you will get a bigger hint, but not big enough to spoil it, just to set your mind on the right direction, I stated earlier that I think only few are capable of acquiring and utilizing The One Piece, for instance, I doubt Buggy or someone of his caliber will be able to, although I'm starting to think that there is more to Buggy than Oda is showing, but that's another story.
My opinion is based solely on Naruto - he wants to become Hokage and his goal is pretty clear, and if he happens to acquire that title, the anime should end, because from then on, it will be like some The Bold and The Beautiful kinda drama. But thats probably not how it's gonna end, but that's another story too.
You guys got me convinced a bit more that it's actually a physical object, but I think that "unlocking" its powers or whatever it is, will require the experience the Mugiwara crew or someone like with D. in their name can only do. I suspect that One Piece will have at least another 300 episodes, before it reaches Raftel, which I'm looking forward to, because I don't want it to end any time soon.
We'll see, there is a long way to go, and probably as it gets closer to the end, it will be hinted, although i think it was hinted so far a couple of times.
Why not? Is it discouraging? Like not living up to yours and others' expectations?
It simply means that The One Piece is all the experiences, it just doesn't exist, when they reach Raftel, there won't be a treasure or anything like that. Each of the main characters - Luffy, Sanji, etc. will find their dream come true there, thats just it.
I'm sure that everyone has ran trough their heads what could The One Piece be, I also suspect that my idea has also been discussed and someone else already came up with it, but I would still like to share it and see what you think about it, because its the one that makes the most sense to me, considering other shounen anime and their conclusions.
I believe that The One Piece isn't actually something with a physical form, but rather something that not everyone can "acquire", or should i say "achieve", not because they aren't strong enough to reach it, but because they are ineligible to do so. Considering this, my concept of what The One Piece really is is that it's actually all the fond memories of adventures, fun, hardships, time spent with crewmates and other friends. This overall experience "embodies" The One Piece and this really explains what it means to "have it all", to be the strongest, because the true strength, content/happiness comes from within, not from acquiring a devil fruit, money, or an ancient weapon (could be of mass destruction), because those can easily be lost, but the inner being can't be lost just as easily.
So, what do you think of this concept?
hello everyone, ive made this account some time ago, but never got round to posting here, unitil now
my name's Alex, from Bulgaria and i started watching at around late 2008, so i had so many episodes to watch, i never had time to think about the differences that occurred in the art style over the years
now, i just saw another thread like this on the forums, but i didnt want to revive it, since it was quite some time since anyone posted in there
im not writing this as a rant, but more as an opinion, as well as i would like to hear yours
i started looking at comparisons between new and old, and i noticed that in the old style the heads of the characters looked bigger in the upper part, and smaller in the lower one, as well as the fact that not only the characters, but the backgrounds are less detailed compared to the newer iterations
as far as im informed, One Piece anime started airing at around 1997, so its pretty self-explanatory that the art would look kinda dated, but i like the old one, for its distinguishable features, and i like the new one as well for the fact that everything now seems more lush and alive, as well as kind of extravagant, like in the movie about Z
so which one do you guys prefer? the old or the new one… or maybe both?
episode 312 is my favorite - where they have to part with Going Merry
also i like the episodes where Luffy makes new friends and crew members (when they realise that they want to be part of the crew as well)
^_^
