RE: Chapter 755: World of Men
"I have a theory that Sanji actually fully mastered Okama kenpo and actually can only use it while cross-dressing.
But due to his PTSD, he will only do this when absolutely necessary. I think one of his big reveals will be him doing this when Nami/Robin are for sure about to be killed."
From the user gerrettheferret on Reddit.com/r/OnePiece
I really want to see this happen now. It'd be funny and badass. -
RE: Chapter 755: World of Men
People should just stop acting like they're righteous. It's easier to see and understand the world around you from the middle ground.
-
RE: Chapter 754: Please to make your acquaintance
I didn't said that, in fact I don't even care for a reason, Oda could explain me on 100 pages why Sugar can change you into a toy and erase your memory at the same time, I would still think it is one of the most unlogical and stupid fruits in the series
What kind of fucked up logic is that… xD Instead of hearing the reasoning and try to counter said reasoning, you'll just flat out ignore it? Wow...
You're a very close minded person, aren't 'cha? -
RE: Chapter 754: Please to make your acquaintance
I knew someone would argue against my statement, I hoped for a 100% fanboy but you are between 40-20%
Your examples don't change mine, two art idiots in the same Arc uncreative, a fish Zoan = autoerotic asphyxiation for Dellinger while being 100% fish nice, the Zoan sub- categories are an exception, and Ace Akainu, Aokiji Monet are logical with their conception of elements, not mine my name is not for show I like real elements, Light and lightning are diffrent even in our world. I am too tired to argue for every point and my English is too bad but Tsuru is diffrent from Kalifa and Alvida but those two are the same there you are right, but my main point was recently there are too many unlogical once at the same time Sugar changing people into toys ok, Sugar whiping out memories ok but both how is that connected it is just plain stupidAh you seem to be more fanboish,
as you said their abilities are both art-based, so they create abstract objects out of their imagination, Kanjuro only uses a brush
At the moment Joras only difference is she can change already existing objects, but I bet Kyros remaining leg Kanjuro will draw a mustach on someones face, maybe DoffysRight… so because we don't know the reasoning behind something we should label it illogical. Right... -_-

RE: Chapter 754: Please to make your acquaintance
There is a broken handcuff next to Kanjuro's feet. Were they his? Were they kairoseki hancuffs? If so, how did he break them? Raw strength?

RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
TBH, I kinda want Cavendish to join the crew. It doesn't seem like he has anyone(other than Farul) nor anywhere else to go so I kinda want him to feel at home with the SH's.
-
RE: 654: ''Blade of Beauty! White Horse Cavendish''
I don't get why they didn't include Doflamingo's twisted smile. The ending was meh. Much better in the manga. Other than that, I enjoyed it quite a lot.
-
RE: Chapter 753: " Battle"
i hate to pin-point plot holes..but since when kairoseki is transparent?
and if it's not, what is on top of the factory is just simple glass..why search for the key or a way to open the door when you can just climb there and smash the glass? The glass is most likely combined with sea stone due to Wapol.

RE: Post how your day was…
I had my very first interview at Great America today and I freaking choked on one of the easiest questions on the planet. The interviewer told me to divide a 10 with only 5's and 1's. I was only able to think of one way which was a 5 and five 1's. I then say, "Isn't there only one?" FACEPALM What… The... Fuck... I prepared myself for this interview for 2 fucking days and I goddamn choked. She then asks me to do the same, but with a 20 using 5's, 10's and 1's. My response was, "Two 10's, a 5 and five 1's and twenty 10's" FACEPALM TWENTY 10's?! WTF, man! God dammit...

In the panel that shows the entire island, you can see two ships on the coast of Dressrosa. Right hand side.

RE: General 'Haki' Discussion
@•Ace•:
I didn't see it because I didn't think of it as a "repel" effect. Just Luffy getting knocked back after getting pushed by Sentomaru.
IIRC, there is more than one sky island and other safer routes to get there. The only ones in that list that I believe have dials in their weapons are that guy with the lighting sword and the dude with the fire sword from Marineford. The ones that I don't believe are haki related is Law's Counter Shock. I don't think lightning came out of Luffy's attack. It's probably just a different way of drawing clashes. Since nothing is certain as of yet, I will keep an open mind.

RE: General 'Haki' Discussion
Considering Oda's foreshadowing thats HIGHLY unlikely.

The hell are you talking about dude? lol. He was talking about the "repel" effect of the way Sentomaru used Haki. That was the main way he used the ability.

I honestly can't fathom how you could have possibly missed that.

Thats highly unlikely considering not everyone has been to skypeia. And there are various characters utilizing these abilities with no dials.
I'm quite certain that, Luffy's Thor Elephant Gun, Law's Counter Shock, and Thunder Lord McGuy's lightning abilities are all Haki.
The same goes for Sanji's Hell's Memories, Zoro's Asura, Luffy's Red Hawk, Fossa's sword, Marigold's Salamander technique etc. The one thing all those characters have in common is Haki, thus Haki is the only logical cause for why they can do what they do.

RE: General 'Haki' Discussion
Hi everyone, I'm new here, so I'm not sure if this question belongs here or not, but can anyone answer me this:
Since the time-skip, have we seen anyone using Armament Haki the same way as Sentomaru did in Shabondy (is this the correct spelling?) Archipelago? He used it to repel attacks and also attack foes with some sort of shock wave, I don't remember, but no one since the time-skip has used it in the same way right?
Has it been said why?Repel attacks? Shockwave? I don't think he ever did that.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
@vagabond Weapons with elemental abilities are probably just weapons modified with dials or something. You know, simar to Ussop's Kabuto Pre-time skip and Nami's weather staff.

RE: One Piece Chapter 744 - Revolutionary Army Chief Advisor
Considering what you say later, I find this incredibly hillarious.
Okay. Problem: When Ace was introduced, he was a member of THE strongest pirate crew. He fought Smoker, and he fought bilions, which basicaly means Mooks, defeating neither.
Sabo just stoled a devil fruit in front of Yonko officer and Shichibukai officer. After they seemed completly unable to stop him in any way. Which is hardly the same.
You just admited, few lines above, that Sabo can control the fruit more easily because he is Sabo. When the only other person to suddenly get Logia powers could not control them at all.
A) I called him feeling sueish. Which means he is not full blown Mary Sue (or Gary Stue, if you like more that way). Reading comprehension: Learn it.
B) Luffy beating a random pirate, which Alvida was at her introduction, versus Sabo effortlessly eluding First Captain of Blackbeard Pirates, and Chief Executive of Donquixote Family. Both of which were hyped for YEARS. Come on.
C) And do not even dare to bring that the ring were destroyed and they lost their footing. Burgess is a bloody helmsman. Blackbeard Pirates sailed through Grande Line ON A RAFT. That sea has more storms, and weird weather then anything else on the planet. If uneasy footing is enough to make a New World pirate completly incapable of any action, then how in the hell he is still alive?!
Neither Burgess nor Diamante were trying. Burgess was doing the same exact attack on Sabo while Diamante was messing around with Bartolomeo and Rebecca. After destroying the ring, Diamante is covered in water and Burgess got hit in the head by falling debris. Both of them are still quite surprised at what just happened too. During this time, Sabo took the opportunity to go after the fruit while the others were unable to do much. I could understand your complaint if Sabo took the fruit while Burgess and Diamante came at him with all their might, but that isn't the case. Also, thank god both Burgess and Diamante were not damaged from the attack. Burgess had a few scratches, but I wouldnt call it damaging him. I would have been quite disappointed if that was all it took to damage Diamante and Burgess.

RE: One Piece Chapter 744 - Revolutionary Army Chief Advisor
I had an issue with this as well but few panels after that, he did had trouble making himself solid. Maybe he's just that good.
Sabo also couldn't make the attack look like a fist like Ace can.
Edit: NVM. I think Im thinking of Akainu. -

RE: One Piece Chapter 743 - Turbulent Dressrosa

Really enjoyed the episode. They should have slowed down some parts and added more dialogue. The pacing was too damn fast for my liking. Oh well.

Nah, he really doesn't know anything but he most likely have a plan to counter whats about to come his way, If he ends up no having one it will be such a shame.
Sorry, but I will not be caught it in his "pace".

Doflamingo reminds me of these birds back in Alabasta: http://www.onepiecebay.net/manga/One-Piece/162/10
This is probably a red herring. Oda makes us believe DD doesn't know the actual situation, but in reality, he does and he's just currently going with the flow. I don't buy that DD doesn't know anything. I just don't buy it. -
RE: Opening 17: "Wake Up!", January 19th
This opening is really good. So good that I haven't even watched what comes after it. Off to watch it again. Hopefully I can get pass the opening and onto the actual episode.

Sonic 06 was a bad game.
Zebrahead's version of "His World" is much better. -
RE: [Theory] The Inherited Will, "One Piece"
I'm suggesting that Grand Line was made by the use of Ancient weapons. Now if you have a more plausible suggestion as to why Oda would explain how Grand Line appeared millions years ago (following your logic), feel free to post it. By the way_,_ in the world of One Piece you can fly to the moon without any spacesuit and with the help of simple balloons. If that does not sound "plain stupid", I don't know what it is. Our world # One Piece world.
I imagine they were made of those bubbles from Saobondy. Those things seem to be indestructible no matter how much force is exerted on them. Those guys on the moon were a different race. We still haven't gotten an explanation as to how they are able to survive in space. We still need more information to make a proper conclusion.
Personally, I believe the GL is a natural phenomenon. I bet you that those satellites orbiting the planet has something to do with it. Because the planet is capable of attracting more than one satellite, the gravity is greater than ours. I assume that thing Bege ran into was one of the satellites, but there's something very weird about it. It seems that satellites gravitational pull is stronger than the OP planet. I don't know much about physics, but I know that if something had less mass, it's gravitaional pull would be weaker. It's as if that tiny satellite is attracting the planet towards it instead of the other way around. So yeah, I'm pretty sure the planetoids are the cause to all this.
I really don't understand how the Ancient Weapons could be the cause. I mean, one is capable of controlling sea creatures and the other capable of destroying islands. The 3rd one is currently unknown. I really don't get how these weapons could have created the GL.

RE: Chapter 733: "What Mr. Soldier Wants"
I thought the reason no one could get One piece was because anyone who got close would basically get annihilated by the Emperors
Now even WB knew how to get to Raftel.
Edit: Too late. Devil G already provided the scan. -
RE: The Viz Media Thread
Is the map on the volumes drawn by Oda? Where can I view the full thing without all the stuff covering it up?
-
RE: Chapter 733: "What Mr. Soldier Wants"
She wasn't exactly effortlessly taking everyone down either.
Really though, do you want inhuman bursts of power fueled by emotion to be a thing that happens in this manga?
Alright, Im back.
Because she is trying to push her opponents off the ring…
What are you talking about now? We don even know how strong he is yet due to her limiting herself. Oda has already made clear that without power, you can't do anything no matter how hard you try.
Why are you even bashing on emotions? Emotions are the triggers that help bring out the very best in us. It's reality. -
RE: Chapter 733: "What Mr. Soldier Wants"
This is a reasonable assumption, but you can understand why some of us don't want Rebecca to pull a ridiculous kamikaze move out of her ass, right?
I don't get why it would be out of her ass. All you're doing is assuming that's all she's got even though you are aware that she's been on the defensive the whole entire time.
-
RE: Chapter 733: "What Mr. Soldier Wants"
Rebecca is faster than Kizaru. Make it happen, Oda!
-
RE: Chopper's forms
I don't want to talk about this anymore. I just wanted people to look at the good that can come from something bad and the bad that can come from something good.
-
RE: Chopper's forms
We were suppose to sympathize with the dwarves hence the shadow king with the evil laugh. And Dressrosa wasn't poor. The point was no one was astronomically rich but they all could live decently. Just look at how love Riku was and the peaceful smile of the old man when the kid tell him he want another piece of bread.
Too much of one thing is never a good thing. All the good he did made the people happy, but took away economical growth. All the bad Donquixote did made the people happy and the country wealthy, but took away the freedom of others. There will be bad when doing good and good when doing bad.

You've never read any totalitarian, sci-fi, dystopian books haven't you?
No I have not. 16 characters

RE: Chopper's forms
What good came from slavery in One Piece?
Dressrosa was poor because the king was always helping out neighboring nations. Dressrosa prospered because of the enslaved dwarves.
-
RE: Chopper's forms
@400MillionBelis:
Yeah I'm not going into morality and philosophy here. I believe it's bad no matter what - healthy for the economy or not. You decided whatever you want to question that doesn't need questioning.
In One Piece's case, it's bad.
Really? I've always thought Oda portrayed it from a neutral standpoint. If I were Oda, I wouldn't bother showing the good that comes from slavery if I wanted to portray it as bad. Yes, no one should be treated like that, but look at all the good it did. Is it really bad, Oda? I also wouldn't bother showing the bad that comes from doing too much good.
-
RE: Chopper's forms
@400MillionBelis:
Slavery and genocide is more than being an asshole.
But what if it did some good? Is it still considered bad? How about if you do good, but the results were the opposite. Is it still considered good?

RE: Chapter 733: "What Mr. Soldier Wants"
I was rereading chapter 595 and I noticed that the mountains on Kaidou's island are not mountains, but some sort of structure meant to look like mountains. When Drake is confronted by the cyborg guy, you can see the structure is still incomplete.

But Rebeca doesn't have her eyes open, hell Suleiman seem like he's actually opening his eyes.
Zoom in really close. If your on a phone/iPod/iPad, take a screenshot and crop it. You can see her upper an lower eyelid are not together. Like King Cannon said, it could be an art error, but I believe it's just Oda giving a really subtle hint.
-

You can see there is space between the top and bottom eyelid if you compare it to her right eye.
