More death, drama, suspence, darker tone, intricate plot. More revolutionary army doing anything. Less one-chapter filler characters.

RE: Chapter 709: King Punch
I am heavily disappointed in how Bellamy got nuked. At least it looks like King Punch saved Barto, as Bellamy was about to kick his ass. Barto just got lucky….
Sort of looking forward to explanation about Dressrosa's past I guess. Mind control on citizens, maybe.... probably not but maybe

RE: The Great New World Discussion Thread
Well we did get shown Ace vs BB. So I am assuming we would see Shanks vs BB. Plus if Shanks is going to be like "Luffy you finally are great" or whatever and get his hat back, then Luffy should logically be around there somewhere watching it? More reason it would get shown since main character would be involved

RE: General 'Haki' Discussion
It doesnt…? Uh, how do you know? I agree with Blowfish that it doesnt add up that haki wasnt used yet in the Block B battle. But then again I guess its Oda trying not to give every single random filler character haki , to avoid cheapening it.

RE: General Devil Fruit Discussion
Ace is seemingly the youngest "offensive Logia" yet shown right? So I guess he just wasn't as comfortable with the ability maybe. Also he was way too hot-headed.

RE: Survey of ages among OP readers here in AP
I'm 31 and I do feel sort of silly or embarrassed reading manga. But actually I feel like a lot of mangas, including One Piece, are pretty "subtle" and have some good political/social commentary going on "behind the scenes". Also I appreciate a good detailed plot, and I like how Oda foreshadows so much. It can be fun to observe evolution of an author's ideas as well as evolution of their art styles. The main thing I guess that makes me feel embarrassed about mangas is usually the other people, on most forums I am the oldest person there LOL. And most of the comments are imbecilic/superficial; there are rarely deep meaningful discussions about manga unfortunately.

RE: General Blackbeard Thread
I think Blackbeard breaking down and acting sort of scared to Whitebeard was part of his overall evil/bad persona, and how he is not someone the reader is meant to like really. But he is definitely entertaining and everything he does and his crew does is fascinating and really brings a dynamism to the story. Anyway, Blackbeard basically "took" Whitebeard's DF blast right to his non-logia face, and was basically ok…. then he and his crew cruelly demolished Whitebeard? People saying Whitebeard kicked his ass have no idea what theyre talking about... if anything you can view BB's "you wouldnt kill your son" talk as sort of mocking WB almost

RE: One Piece 707: B Block
Yes it is true Roman Empire came after the decline of ancient Greece, but they definitely had those territories within their Empire and used many of their civilization's aspects just modified. (Roman Gods/Goddesses fairly similar to Greek ones just named differently for example). Many historians contrast ancient Greek city states as more "pure" or "art/science" oriented with Rome being more "political/military" oriented. And they say later Europe took both those aspects in forming their modern civilization

RE: General Blackbeard Thread
Yes they only ran across Burgess and Doc Q so far. I feel like even though it was not necessarily obvious that those two were with BB, perhaps Luffy and Zoro's "instincts" just told them they were together. That I can buy, but not them having the insight INSTANTLY to realize some random stranger has multiple souls….
Look as far as Teach having a weird body of some sort I guess that will have to get explained later on as to how he incorporates more than 1 DF ability. I just really think its very clear what the intended meaning in this old Mocktown chapter is

RE: One Piece 707: B Block
Who will win D, Cavendish or Rebecca? And if someone else… youre probably wrong :-P
I agree with most people who say its unlikely for "Lucy" to end up battling Burgess at this time. For one thing, captains dont typically engage in battle with fleet commanders, even if Burgess is the 1st fleet commander (highly prestigious and presumably quite powerful only behind BB). Although it definitely is an exciting prospect... it would take us too far afield from the main point of this arc probably. Main things Im looking forward to this Coliseum stuff solving is just: Kyros/Statue = ???, and perhaps just a bit more about what Donflamingo's crew are like since apparently each crew member is the "prize" you get for advancing out of your block. (Prize meaning to fight them next)
