Oda's editor actually said that the Reverie will end within the next 10 chapters, and not that there will definitively be 10 more and that's it.

Why does the 20+ month pregnancy thing make some fans pretty mad? I heard someone on the last OPP moan when it was mentioned! It's just a silly situation, in a silly fantasy manga. Why somethings have to make sense, while others don't?

It was the Strong World effect, as others explained. I mean, the sales wouldn't jump from 5 to 32 million because of an arc only. A good arc can make people stay, but it's not the best way to attract new readers.

The movie was a massive hit that gave the franchise a boost, bringing in thousands of new fans that started buying the entire backlog, until it naturally slowed down, as the fanbase had nowhere to grow anymore - the same thing happening with AoT after it peaked. For that reason it's hard to expect another movie to do the same, i think people who could be OP readers already are, at this point.

They didn't. Only the second half of 2008 sales were counted as Oricon just started releasing the data.

Whenever I see the words "ass pull" in anything resembling a critique, I cannot take it seriously. On a side note this thread seems to have turned into "Everything I Slightly Dislike About One Piece and Other Random Shit" and therefore should be renamed (Vent Your Manga Frustrations).

I don't even care about Rebecca, but people are being straight up pathetic about wanting her off the tournament. Guess what, your shit out of luck cause some guy called Oda's writing the story!
