I'm going to keep training my units, it's really hard to do so, as turtles don't drop as much as I would and using the normal goons are costing me too much belies. I'm saving my remaining ones for the 1.5xExp that's going to be released in a few days. Also saving the Friend Points and the fruits for the next sugofest and the turtles thingy, so really few new units and a few space left.

I tried it with a friends Vivi. After taking 15 minuts to clear the first round, the goons on the second locked all my units and destroyed me. I don't think I'll be able to win this….

What the best way to level characters up? I've just did my first turtle island but only purple ones dropped. Is there a way to get other colors to drop? If not, what do you guys use?

Also, does the order of defeat affect the drops? I mean, if I take the grunts first before the boss, will I lose my chances to get the boss drop if one of the grunts gives me a treasure?

I have a couple of additional questions. Is there a Pirate Level cap? How can you farm characters? I've been doing the same missions over and over, but nothing drops…. Should I only farm those with a x2 drop rate?

I love Tamashii Nations events. They show 30+ new prototypes just to never release them. I don't know why they waste their money paying sculptors.

Also for the first time I'm not even slightly excited about what MH will show. I had enough of their choices. I stopped buying their PoPs and I've been focused on the IK line and getting cutom based figures of characters I'd like to own a 1/8 of.

Well, the spirit here is kinda low latelly….

! POPs are not what they use to be, but neither is the One Piece scene. When I started collecting, there was only the POPs to look forward (in terms of scaled figures). FAZ and GLM were iniciating, and IK was merelly a concept. So I was willing to do preorder wars for them, because that was basically the only chance I had.
! Now I feel that with the multiple rereleases, redoes, second versions and lines, there's plenty to choose from. So I started to wonder, how many figures of the same characters do I need? What does the new one offer that the old one was missing? Is this one the best? Do I need a 7k POP of that character or a 3k FAZ/IK will do me enough? And so on…
! Megahouse figure choices didn't help them at all, and surprisingly I found myself skipping POPs more often than not. I still love the line, but I just can't care enough about the bunch of 2nd versions and Dresrossa characters (I didn't conect with the arc at all) they are throwing at us.
! I got tired of waiting for MH to step up the game, and started digging the other lines and options more. I had no troubles settling with "lower" figures of the characters I didn't love enough to want the POP of, but still wanted a figure of. And I found myself searching the nets for custom figures of characters I really want a POP of but I'm affraid will never have.

So maybe this will make someone happy. Corazon IK!!

No, I meant the sculptor who did Samurai, Hacker, Miku and Psychic (and also Tharja and Samus). I really like his work and I don't think we see anything from him this WonFest.

As for Lucier, she is made by another company, not Max Factory, so it's not exactly from the same line. That's why the she looks more plain and it's more expensive.

No, it's a lottery. Same happened with Sadie-chan, Shiki and SA Franky a year(?) ago. They accept "orders" from Frebruary 3rd until February 23rd, but will only fullfill them randomly until the stock is over. So if 300 people preorder them during that period, but only 50 POPs were left on their wharehouse, only one out of 6, in random, will get a confirmation order.

I don't know if there was a comment about it when it was released, but I just had time to check the last character poll. Out of the Top 25, Megahouse has done at least one POP of each character. If you exclude the Dresrossa poeple due to the hype (and recent release), you can see that every single character has got 2 POPs but Doflamingo and Smoker, with Crocodile having a special mention as he got a repaint recently.

If you take a look into the top 50, Kyros, Buggy, Ceaser, Cobby, Pell, Sr. Pink, Urouge and Margarette (and a special mention to Bepo who got a POP Plush….) are the only ones without a POP.

If MH decides to take a look into it, we might see some of them next? I thought a SA Dofla, SA Smoker and Kyros would have been announced by now, but if they do Cobby, Pell or Buggy next I might die.

On I side note, I find it odd that there's no sign of Momonosuke or Kinnemon on the poll. They might be really unpopular to not even be on the list considering their part on the current arc. This might mean we will never see a Kinnemon POP after all unless he shines on the next arc. And I really miss Magellan, Jaybura and Mr. 3. I would have thought they were more popular than some of the characters who made into the top 101... I guess I was really wrong.

I'm guessing CB-R2 Nami, Nojiko and Zoro, and maybe Mild Brook and Boa. "Cancelling" Lao G might have forced them to replan their schedule, and filling it with a 1.5 version of the mild ones might have been the fastest way to amend that.

I'm looking forward to that poll too. I'm curious on what the Japanesse like and what not. Maybe it will give me some knowledge of what to expect.
But as you don't like Smoker and the Supernovas, I don't like Rebecca, Cavendish, Sugar, etc. I don't see them being more popular than the first, but we'll see on the poll.

I also don't like Zoro, Boa, Ace, or Law, and I'm still undecided about Sabo, but I get their popularity so I'm prepared to see lots of figures about them. But what I'm not prepared is to see what I consider second tier characters get a second PoP while other second tier characters don't have any. But maybe what I consider second tier is not actually second tier. I'll have to wait and see what the popularity poll says.

Aside from that, this MH was 10 times better than the last. I didn't conect with any of the Dresrossa characters shown so far aside from Barto, so I had no desire of them getting figures, so last MH was a big fail for me. However, from this one I have Brook mild to look forward. Boa's child version is just ok. I'd like them to center more on the adults from the flashbacks too. I'd love a Zeff, Hiluluk, Tom, Fisher Tiger and Corazon. But I understand it's probably too much to ask.

Also one of my favourite arcs is Impel Down, and Bon-chan is my favourite non strawhat character, so I'm really happy they made him again. But I can't really feel the joy as it bothers me that there are lots of other relevant characters from that arc that don't have a POP already and would have loved to see made first, like Magellan, Buggy or, Ivankov, whitout whom Luffy would not be alive nowadays.

Not the right kind of POP. She was introduced on Dresrossa as a full character. It's like considering Kaido or Big Mom already introduced characters because we know of them.

And I still don't get how Killer is popular. But I guess I just don't follow the norm. His POP didn't sell well, I can asure that though. And it didn't have the excuse of being to big to be send SAL.

He is all over YAJ too at 2k-3k, so Japaneese might not love him that much either…

I don't really think they're focusing on anything. They did 2 MILDs, 2 pre-TS popular characters, 2 post-TS popular characters and 2-uber popular+important characters.

And none of that is a character introduced before the Dresrossa arc or that didn't had already a POP. Exactly the same happened last Megahobby. So I see a patern there, which would mean no Kin'emon, Ceaser, Monet or Baby 5. Also considering that from the past 2 years we only got 2 figures outside that pattern, both before Dresrossa was introduced, I have no hopes.

And sorry for considering Hawkings among them, but you considering Killer among the popular ones is also laughable. His fist PoP is still selling for 2-3k.

Reprints are for newcomers who missed the figure back in the day and also for the crazy collectors who get all versions of everything released within the line so they cover that area of collectors via updating the colouring just a bit or fixing something they think they failed with in the first wave. Different figures of the same character target character's fans who only get figures of the heroes they like.
Smoker and Tashigi DID get a re-make over original versions of the figure though.
And Ace has like 5 unique POPs including MILD >_>

Yes they do, but none of them appeal to those who want only one figure from each One Piece characters. They only have Dresrossa characters from this past year, which IMHO is an uderwhelming arc.

Kanji, they did another Goku for the D.O.D line. There's still hope I gues!!

And a Vegetta too. So go and order Piccolo and Goku!! This is looking like a long line!!

They seem to focus on only creating new figure of characters introduced on Dresrossa and second versions of characters pre timeskip. A pitty.

What are your bets on the next Megahobby? I think they might do the admirals. Dofla and Jinbei would be too predictable for them.

That Hancock better have some extras, because right now it looks to static. The GLC is better, but that's the case for almost every mild.

Wait for HLJ. Box dimensions are the same as MAS Lucci, and they are the only place to ship him SAL, so you may get him shipped for around 2,000 yen.

Only problem is, it's unlikely he'll get discounted, so you'll still be looking at 11K yen with shipping…........I can't imagine he'll ever go 50% off at HS, but even if he does 4,975 + 6,200 for EMS makes him more expensive.......

Bottom line, it's unlikely you'll snag him for any less than 11K............which is why I passed.........too expensive for what it is............

My point wasn't to compare popularities, it was about SnK being very popular and only getting top-3 popular characters in figures for the most part so far.

The problem with SnK is that the license is not own by one single company, like One Piece. So all the companies work against each other and release the same characters over and over to try and outsell the others. Also, GSC, Koto, Pulchra, etc. are not interested in creating an ongoing line for any series. They only make few popular characters out of them and move on to the next hot thing.

Sentinel is the only one that's doing that with their Brave-ACT line, which already has the only scaled figures of Armin, Erwin, Hange and Titan Eren. I'm pretty sure if the sales support it, they will eventually do the rest of the cast. Just don't expect GSC, Koto or any other company to do it.

Dereshii, because it's limited. CB-R1 Robin can hit the bargain bin, so you can grab her later.

I was expecting something better… I dont know why, but the MSP line hasn't caught my attention at all. Law and Eren are the only ones I consider any good, but I have already enough of him.

Is that Cry Heart vol. 3? I was not expecting that.
DRAMATIC SHOWCASE vol. 4 was what everyone guessed. I prefer the Ichiban Kuji, but seeing the prices of it, I might have to settle with this one. The sculpt looks almost identical.

And it's nice to see WCF going back to it's main line with Punk Hazard.

The FAZ look really good in those pictures, too bad the size is not close to the POPs at all, or I would have bought those some a long time ago.

Do you have pictures of the Ichiban Kuji with the POPs, Kanji? Do you feel they are underwhelming too? How are their size compared to the POPs?

I own a few IK (Whitebeard and Roger, Nightmare Luffy, Chibi Shirahoshi) and I'm really impressed with the sculpt and quality considering they are prize figures. I was contemplating buying more of them (Ryuma, Tashigi, Smoker, Kid, Killer) to display with the POPs, but I don't know if they will blend well or stick out like the styilings in your picture. Thanks!

I don't actually need to deal with it, I already own her white skinned. I was just saying that to me the first one was the most accurate, because I compare it to the manga, which is what I follow. If you find it more accurate, because you follow the anime, good for you.

I just find it amusing that you invented a story to justify the random change in her skin tone, because that's what you did after all.

I'm fine with only Brook. I was so worried that Megahouse had stopped releasing pre Dresrossa figures (the dream poll ones doesn't count) that having Brook announced has given me some hope to see Buggy, Magellan or Ivankov sometime in the future.

As for more children, I rather see them on GLC form than in POP. They are a lot better IMHO.

lol That's the funniest thing I read all that. I'm amused that you find a reason why the anime crew decided to change her skin tone. As for me, she is as inaccurate as it can be. Here's a color spread done by Oda, where you can see her white skinned. He is the one I'll go to when I want accuracy. It helps I haven't what a single episode of the anime.

Also, this is the color spread the new FAZ Children is based about, except they changed all the costums.
