Just saw this movie today and I left the theater with such a warm feeling, I always felt the same way about myself as Charlie Brown while growing up, hell I still feel that way from time to time. The films animation was also pretty good as well. It had really nice sense of softness to it, if that makes any since. I just couldn't help walking out of the theater with a smile on my face.
That being said….
! They really padded the movie with a lot of Snoopy & Woodstolk "red baron" shenanigans. I know that all the Peanuts films do that but it really felt disconnected here since the thing was just Snoopy letting his imagination get away with him while writing his own story. I'm not even sure if that puddle he was pining for was an actual character in the comics or anything new and I just forgot about her, or something made up for his story.
