Here's hoping to Weevil arriving to mess up everything. If any other sweet commanders are around it doesn't seem likely at all for Luffy to come out victorious even if Jimbei and the others show up.

RE: Chapter 840: "Iron Mask"
Hopefuly Sanji is just actually normal, and won't get a cyborg-like power up. SH's don't need a 2nd cyborg imo.
Although it would be cliched to see the normal human triumphant over superhumans or w/e. -
RE: Chapter 805: The Mink Tribe
I hope the focus on Robin means poneglyphs
So Zoro was leading the way and they actually went where they wanted to go, guess his fight with Pica awakened his sense of directions

RE: Chapter 801: Opening Declaration
I was literally looking up at CP9's cover story and was hoping they would return last night.
WoahI wondered why Doflamingo seems so….cheery?, when this series makes the point that losing the chance for your dream hurts more than getting beaten up.
Doffy just wants to see the world burn. He wanted to do it himself but he still see that future as unavoidable.
He is obviously pretty pissed at "those little shits", but reading the news and seeing his predictions come true is apparently close enough. -
RE: Chapter 800: Follower Sake Cup
The Strawhats actually have a lot of affiliated people around the world if you think about it.
There are people supporting every one of the main crew members and now there are 4(?) kingdoms on more than good terms plus the recent 7 crews fleet.
Not including marines/ex-marines/RA who might find themselves on the same side as Luffy.
No doubt even more people will come to their side as the story nears to the end.
Man the conclusion will be exciting.Maybe there can be side stories for these 7 groups after the main story of OP ends.
I think the end panels this chapter is alluding to stories after One Piece ends. That they will each become great in their own way, perhaps outside the shadow of the Strawhats. -
RE: Chapter 794: Sabo's Adventure
My thought is that Sabo as a character was probably created when Oda planning for the introduction of Ra later in the series.
The trio of sworn blood brothers is just too good of an allusion to miss and when Sabo was finally introduced, his fate was probably decided. Amnesia as a plot device is not very good most of the time but honestly any other way of explaining Sabo's disappearance would make no sense.
The way he remembers is also pretty well done compared to most others. Also I really wish Bellamy would not join the SH crew or even Law's. He still has a long way to go to redeem himself imo
He is still essentially the very same person as before, but he might be able to progress into a worthy ally in the future. -
RE: Chapter 793: The Tiger and The Dog
Yeah, this makes me like One Piece more than Naruto where the system is questioned and its shown that the establishment is coming undone do to its constant failures. Plus the fact that people more and more are trying to do their best to reform it.
The biggest injustice that Naruto did was ignore how crummy the system is and spout out this " Will Of Fire" crud which glories conforming to the wishes of the village even when it does atrocious deeds.
Yeah in almost every other manga the mass is usually a non-factor that obeys and listens and virtually have no will of their own. Although they don't really do anything either in One Piece, they are not mindless and can eventually bring social change.

RE: Chapter 793: The Tiger and The Dog
@Go:
I never understood how exactly does Luffy beating Doflamingo show the failure of the Shichibukai, to be quite frank. Isn't it the same regardless of who beats him?
Also, if that is so, why didn't he go after him when Luffy seemingly did fail, after Gear Fourth drained him? This does not add up.
Letting pirates defeat Doflamingo shows the inability of Marines, and Admiral doing the job shows that the Marines still can exert control.
The point of the whole incident is to increase discontent and lose face for the Marines, and it worked wonderfully because it was pirates that did the job while the Marines did not.
The people in OP are skeptics of the WG and the Marines, the WG saying "System works, it's our man at the scene who screwed up, and now he is trying to shift the blame on us" is not going to achieve anything when the evidence is mounting. Why would he go after Luffy when his Sabo was there? When the announcer was hyping Luffy up to be the hero of Dressrosa? Burgess was too weak to be a factor and Doflamingo was barely standing and alone.
He didn't need to prematurely end his gamble when everything already pointed to Doffy's demise. -
RE: Chapter 793: The Tiger and The Dog
I don't understand why people think Fujitora will let Doffy slaughter the whole country, it was not as if he was sleeping and had no idea what was going on.
He made a gamble that he knew was going to pay off -> Luffy beating Doffy showing the failure of the Shichibukai system -> country saved.
Even if Luffy/Law failed, all he had to do was go in and take down a near dead Doffy -> caught 2 Shichibukais and Luffy -> country saved. It was a win-win situation for him either way. He just valued the Shichibukai evidence over catching some pirates.
Sure he got on the bad side of Akainu, but the power of an Admiral is needed whether or not Akainu wants it.
Besides, this progresses the more progressive faction that sooner or later will arrive, assuming the Marines will be reformed by EOS. -
RE: Chapter 793: The Tiger and The Dog
Maybe Capone is about to attack the Big Mom's ship to retrieve Caesar while Sanji&co are fighting with BM's crew?
