Anyone else think that Rocks/Locks might be related to Roger? (older sibling/parent)
Then we'd be dealing with the fearsome pirate and porridge thief - Gol D. Locks

The eye thing and lipstick remind me more of Paul Stanley from Kiss.
Definitely picking up on a Starchild vibe

Also in before everyone starts claiming Kuzan is now a next nakama…
I am curious how many powers Teach can/will have
I find the Cerberus idea really nonsensical, but there are a couple signs that may point to him only being able to subsume three fruits (the three skulls on his jolly roger [this could be related to something else though] and the fact that he now has the strongest Paramecia and Logia abilities [if he were to eat the strongest Zoan it would pretty much make the ultimate trifecta of powerful fruit abilities]).
The three skulls is a pretty obvious reference to the fates who have throughout history been a trio of women. The crew has somewhat of a fate theme to it

Wouldn't be surprised if it also linked to him gaining a third power though. If this were the case then I would expect it to be a zoan. My one was just a joke but, like many others, I could see him stealing Marco's and becoming a weird black phoenix. Can't help but feel that the combination of those powers would make him somewhat invulnerable.
We already know what teach's third power will be as it will match his animal theme - the bearded pig zoan :ninja:
We know from experience that Oda puts a lot of effort into his characters and doesn't like to waste them so it's not so inconceivable that we will see them both show up in a roger/garp era flashback. They are unlikely to be anything more than a cameo role appearance as a nice nod to fans though. I still have a feeling there is some mystery surrounding that freak storm at the edd war so we might get that explained. It would also be very plausible to see some sengoku, garp, z and a possible third admiral interaction with WB, roger and shiki etc…
Because we have an ex admiral, a powerhouse, sensei of one of the admirals and the current fleet admiral, "prey" of the last shichibukai (that should be a beast) that has gone rogue, crazy but disappeared from the world, probably "dead from a bee sting".
That's no Oda.
But I don't see him backtracking and say he's alive.I ask you how he could fit an alive Zephyr in the manga.
I perceive the movies as a parallel scenario, whereby if the SH's had been in this situation this is what would have happened. However, while neither fits into the canon story line we're reading, the characters themselves have canonical history within the same manga storyline. This means their motivations to commit the acts they did are still there so I imagine that Shiki and Z were stopped by the marines because the SH's weren't there and that Z died and Shiki was recaptured/died. I doubt we'll see them turning up in the future as it would conflict with the already established motivation and backstory the characters had.
@wolfwoof:
The anime filler is so unbelivably cruddy that i refuse to believe Oda was ever anywhere near it
If he was it should've improved by sheer proximity
I used to think this way but the exception is the G-8 filler arc. It's so surprisingly good I feel like it has to be a scrapped story line. It's really tense and has the one piece feel. Personally I think it would be much better if it were canon and replaced the god awful foxy arc.
My theory is that Colby will be the new fleet admiral after Luffys and Akainus final clash towards the end of the series. And under his rule there will be a more friendly relationship between pirates who aren't bad people, such as the Strawhats, and the Marine. Would be a nice ending, imo.
Seems likely that Coby will be admiral/fleet admiral right at the end of the series probably in some sort of summary of future events right at the end. I also have always imagined him getting the mythical zoan unicorn fruit. It perfectly fits his innocent and naive character, and they represent purification and healing of sickness and evil, which would tie into him sorting out the corruption amongst the marines/government. Plus, I think he would look quite the little darling as a pink haired unicorn.
You're not understanding me. My question isn't "why can Blackbeard's black hole power can suck everything in". It's "why does Blackbeard have black hole powers in the first place". Absence of light does create darkness but that doesn't create black holes. If you have a room without windows and doors that is completely sealed, there is no light inside. It would be total darkness inside but that doesn't make it a black hole. TRUE, black holes don't have light because it can't be reflected due to a black hole's gravity, but darkness doesn't constitute a black hole.
Without trying to over think it. My justification of it is to think of his logia-type as a spacial vacuum. While it is called the darkness fruit it's properties seem to be more to do with density manipulation. I assume that when in logia state he increases his bodies density (increase mass, decrease volume) and therefore creates a variable gravitational pull in a similar way to a black hole, which form due to a collapsed region of space with infinite density at a point. This is also why his body presumably sucks in pain as, due to Oda logic, pain is a tangible substance and therefore the vacuum like properties of his logia element acts like an area of negative pressure and seeks to consume everything around it. That's my best guess anyway.
To be honest it's just meant to make his character seem more evil so it has the key elements of being highly destructive and unstable, the colour black, and the idea of being all consuming and slightly overpowered. Worry more about what it means for the character than it making complete sense
