I thought that overall the writing in the arc was done really well, but it's just like everyone else said – it's far too drawn out. I mean, once you find out what element fruit Enel has, it's obvious how he's going to meet his demise. They drew something out far too long for being something we knew was going to happen.

RE: Chapter 460 "Get Back Before Dawn!!"
Oh, no, I knew that…I just misunderstood the question that was being asked. I was thinking that he meant that they both are able to die in the same fashion. Thanks for clearing that up :)
Now I am confused, though, as that question does bring up a good point. Why risk the possibility of the strawhats going into the sunlight and dying, thus losing the zombies?
Hrm. That is a good question.

RE: Types of Devil's Fruit
That could just be the ability to control the wind, or maybe turn into the wind like Enel turns into lightning…I mean, theoretically if you could control the wind, you could control the moisture in the air as well, thus creating storm clouds and such, thus creating lightning. Not really controlling the weather any more than Enel did, but just using it to your advantage.

RE: Chapter 460 "Get Back Before Dawn!!"
@Ao:
But if the Strawhat's die, so do the zombies. So shouldn't Moria be going out of his way to capture and keep them safe?
Not necessarily…I mean, to my understanding, the Strawhats are totally different from the Zombies right now. The Strawhats are, you could say, the shadow donors, while the Zombies would be the shadow receivers, so to speak. That is, the Strawhats can't see the sunlight because they don't have Shadows, but the Zombies are made of or powered by shadows.
So basically what I'm saying it, as far as we know, the Zombies could indeed stand sunlight if they wanted to, while the Strawhats currently couldn't, for the same reasons as Brooke.
Unless I'm totally misunderstanding something here.

RE: How do you think One Piece will end? (possible spoilers)
Kingoffans, I like where you're going with quite a bit of that.
I think that they'll all end up splitting up in the end…that's not to say that they won't remain in contact with one another, but you have to keep in mind that the Strawhat Crew didn't form to become a band of pirates per se, everyone joined because they have their goal in life to fulfill. Here's what I see each character doing after the One Piece is found.
Luffy -- goes back and gives his hat back to Shanks. No words spoken or anything, he just places it back on Shanks' head and walks away, to where we don't know.
Usopp -- Goes back to see Kaya, and tells her of their adventures. I think that they live together (if not get married, even though Oda seems to not like that...) and Usopp becomes the protector of Syrup Village.
Zoro -- Leaves to sail the world and challenge swordsmen around the globe, sort of like Mihawk did. Basically becomes the best swordsman in the world, and becomes the man to beat for the person who wants to become the next best swordsman.
Nami -- Goes back to her village, and just lives out her life. Perhaps becomes an infamous navigator-for-hire, and the sole posessor of a map of the entire world.
Sanji -- I think he will end up staying in All Blue for a while (assuming that it does exist and that they find it). I think he will build a restaurant there, and try to find a way to get the fish en masse back to East Blue, so that he can supply and work at the Baratie.
Chopper -- Goes back to Drum Island and becomes a world-famous doctor, where people from all over the world come to have the most obscure diseases cured. After a few more ass-kickings from Doctorine :)
Robin -- I think she will find another island simliar to her home island and build another library of similiar importance there, this time without the world government on her ass about certain parts of history and such.
Franky -- Goes back to Water 7 and helps continue the Galley-La company with the rest of his old gang.
That's all I have so far.

Thanks for the scanlation! Always a pleasure reading the translations you guys put out – they're done pretty well as far as I'm concerned.

RE: Official RAW Discussion II
Freaking great episode. The art and just everything was handled so well, except to a lesser extent the music as some pointed out earlier.
Still, though, this is my third favorite episode right now, and may end up going higher after I watch if a few more times.
The voice acting was especially good in this episode. I mean, by and large it's always pretty damn good, but they handled the screaming really well. They could have just done a generic "I'm going to pummel you now" scream like some anime, but when Lucci and Luffy were yelling when they were fighting, and when Usopp was yelling to Luffy, everything they said was just so emotionally charged that it was amazing.
Well done, Toei, well done.

RE: Chapter 455 "King of the Depths: The Shichibukai - Gekko Moria" Discussion
I think Luffy would be the first person who could physically eat his own head.
Then, if I see that, I may very well have seen everything ever.

RE: If knuckle franky is the new chopper what's gonna happen to chopper?
Chopper will become a cyborg as well.
I don't even know why we're arguing this anymore. Pants-Eater wins this round of the internet with the above answer.

RE: How does Sanji's new move work?
My guess is that he practiced it between the time the Skypea arc ended and Water 7 began, kinda like Luffy did with his Gear forms. Oda doesn't do much for the time in between islands, but you gotta imagine that there's plenty of time in between islands that they have to practice their moves and such.
On a side note, you know what bothers me even more than this whole "leg on fire" business? How Sanji's knees hold up with all his kicking. I mean, with the force that he uses, some of his kicks, like his axe-kicks, would probably break his leg right off at the knee…
