RE: If you could ask Oda one question…
I am sorry to hear that. well, I gues the saying "to each their own" kind of plays a part in this. Thank you for clearing that up though. ^_^.

RE: If you could ask Oda one question…
@RobbyBevard:
Why do you think Fairy Tail is amazing? I just can't see it myself.
It's somewhat long so…
! I just like the way that Hiro expresses Fairy Tail Guild's trust, loyalty, companionship, and love for one another. Personally, I think that Natsu has a better grasp on nakama (in the anime) than Luffy. Luffy always saves his nakama when they are in danger, but most of the time, isn't he the one that exposes them to danger? I think it is GREAT for his character, but I don't like the idea as a whole. I do like how Oda will constantly surprise us with what Luffy will do, along with the plot of OP entirely. But Natsu wouldn't do anything to hurt his friends, in fact, he would die for them and he says that it's them that give him strength to fight. (when he does, it's when they are fighting like playing around in the guild, it isn't serious)
! Another thing is Natsu's dream, it seems more reliable. He's looking for his father, while Luffy is trying to gain a title. (I really don't want it to be "it was always in you" type of thing is why)
! But OP does win in other areas; plot-wise, originality, solidness, and "politicallness". OP has a wonderful plot with lots of original arcs. And the characters are solid, their ideals don't change. And the Manga is SOO precise, its crazy. He puts hints of what's to come months later, like the Mermaid Island, or that place where the Giants are (ussop wanted to visit when they were at Little Garden). Stuff like that makes me think that he spent years just planning out what is going to happen b4 he even wrote anything.
! Fairy Tail to me, the action and meaningfulness(towards the story) are separate. Whereas the action in OP ties to the meaning in the story. But in all fairness, FT is starting to get more "deep", if I may. They are introducing MAIN antagonists(Zeref), lasting issues (Acnologia), and more political features (the new magic council, and how there isn't anyone in there who really supports FT guild), and depth (they had lucy's mom die the same year that the dragons disappeared, seven years later and natsu fights a dragon).
! And I like OP art style as a whole, but when it comes to Bad-as* characters, and hot chicks (typical shounen stuff) i think Mashima wins with a landslide, and Mashima's set up feels a lot 'cleaner' than OP in the manga of course. It's easier to understand. If only Mashima could be as diverse as Oda, draw good backgrounds, and give more meaning like Oda. But I love them both. so… yeah... this is how I feel... Emphasis on "I".
