@STP_PS:
I think that there`s more to the Akainu vs Aokiji fight that what meets the eye.
Firstly, why would Akainu leave Aokiji alive? Is there a personal reason or honour to it. Quite frankly I can`t see it as Sakazuki gives two rats shit about the lower marine officers. then Again that odd sense of "ultimate justice" might have played a role in leaving aokiji live.
Im pretty sure that a 10 days duel would get some conversation and dialogue in between. In fact, I
m suspicious that the lacking of any dialogue "Flashback" is a clue in its own. Maybe Oda is deceiving us in a particular way. The outcome has been stablished but who has said that Akainu trashed Aokiji in the fight? As I said before it is possible that some intel known to Akainu had been past to Aokiji during said fight. Especifically the governments "new strenght" whatever that is. I would actually seen Kuzan as someone who would forgive the life of people (Robin for example). But Sakazuki doesn`t strike me as a merciful man.
There`s also that trickster Ceasar Clown and If he had anything to do in the duel. An empty world would be enough to render Aokiji or Akainu unconcious (Who cares if they are magma and ice they still need to breathe). Seeing how well regarded CC had Akainu and how cunning both of them are I could actually see this duel being tampered.
It's obvious no one trashed anyone. For a fight that lasted over a week, they've been portrayed as nearly equal in power.
While I agree that there's more to the fight than we know, I doubt there was any foul play. Why would Akainu work with CC, a criminal? Seems out of character for such a staunch proponent of Absolute Justice.
