@Mr.333:
This One?
That's the one! Thank you!
What's the name of the background music that plays during the recap of episode 211?
I believe it is also in thriller Bark during the 600 million belli jackpot.

You guys think Oda will play with that or maybe Jump might rethink it's marketing strategy?
In regards to databook green:
Wouldn't it be funny if Oda made Dr. Vegapunk the one who could create amazing weapons and technology but has no idea how to use them.
Also I would love to see the sketch of Kuma on the back cover down near the bottom (near what looks to be Shark Zoro) used as a younger Kuma in a flashback. That would make his bear ears a part of his head and that would make me smile.
What do you guys think?
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I live in Ottawa Ontario Canada so I was able to catch the Strong World Screenings that were part of the animation festival.
The crowd was a nice mixture of fans and people who were experiencing One Piece for the first time.
The version we watched had some interesting translations in the subtitles
Shiki called Nami "Baby Face" (BTW the audience seemed to get a kick out of it every time.) Sanji referred to Nami as "Nami Darling" and Robin as "Robin Lovely."
Some of the attack names were changed as well "Diablo Jump" as opposed to Diable Jamble.
But I think the most jarring translation came from Garp at the beginning. he essentially states that Shiki was defeated and captured by Roger.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume that tanslation was just wrong… Unless he's implying that at some point Roger was Shichibukai or something I dunno.
Now the reactions from the audience were mostly positive. But the whole Shiki/Indigo/Gorrilla comedy team stuff went over their heads. Some people let out groans after a few scenes with Indigo's farting shoes.
I must say that it was wonderful to have the experience to watch One Piece with as large a group as that and I hope this leads to a surge of Canadian support for One Piece.
Despite Funimation's obvious hatred of the Canadian Market with the simulcast. STUPID HULU! lol. I kid of course but it still irks me that we only get the new episodes for three days.
Hope you guys found this informative.
And you think Oda would create a situation where he could showcase the new power level of the strawhats and wouldn't use it?
No, I'm betting on the SH pwning the marine force sent to get them…
I figured he'd have them use their new abilities against an already established enemy instead of these new characters. True if the marine force that shows up maybe had say… an Admiral. that'd be great way to showcase their new powers but it ain't likely. It'll probably be a vice admiral or hopefully a Pacifista.
But more likely it'll be a ton of low level grunts.
Look at the big picture! The fake strawhat crew are there so that the marines could be alerted about the supposed return of the strawhat crew, so that when they show up they will be pwned by the real strawhats.
The only thing I see that could happen is that the real Straw hats pwn as you put it the fakes, The marines mistake the fakes for the real crew and arrest them. Then someone with half a brain realizes "oops we got the wrong guys." Thus giving the real crew a chance to go to fishman island without any trouble.
Speaking of which that's another reason I'm upset.
Oda has been teasing Fishman Island since freakin' Water 7.
LET'S FRIGGIN' GET THERE ALREADY!
Sorry I love One Piece to death but jeez.
Also just for clarification,
I did enjoy a lot of things in the chapter I'm more saddened that we have to wait for Zoro and Franky's return another week thanks to so much time being spent on the impostors.
though I would accept them in only one way… it turns out Luffy's impostor was in fact Brownbeard shaved.
Maybe Chopper lose his sight. He seems to use a cane while walking :)
I think the stick is a call back to Skypeia.
I remember Luffy using one there too while he sang.
I wrote this in response to the latest episode of the unofficial one piece podcast but I figured I'd share my opinions here as well.
Yes I'm doing a copy and paste job… deal.
I feel this whole “Straw Hat Crew” storyline is pointless. It feels to me like padding or something the anime would do for filler.
We all already know that they are going to be quickly dispatched by the real crew and never heard from again.
I am a little angry that Oda is doing this. We wait a whole month for a chapter and instead of getting the crew reunion we get this.
Seriously, is Chopper really that stupid? He wouldn’t notice that the “Straw Hats” he’s following smell differently than the friends he’s been sailing with for months?
It’s been established that Chopper can pick up on crew members scent before. Chopper may be naive but there is a difference between naivete and stupidity.
Also, If Brook is a famous musician wouldn’t any of the crew of heard about him in a newspaper or something?
Robin and Sanji were both taken back by this fact.
We all know they recieved newspapers during the separation otherwise they wouldn’t have got Luffy’s message.
I am wondering how the whole Kuma thing went down. I am disappointed with the lack of closure on it. BTW it WAS Kuma. He had the bible and his gloves.
I’m sure Oda will explain it eventually but I am shocked he didn’t do it here. Just Duval recovering...
I give Oda the benefit of the doubt here but still I feel a little jipped.
