Okay, so I'm finally making a thread devoted to my many pictures of myself in various costumes always facing at the exact same angle. (I hate pictures showing the other side of my face. I think it's because my eyebrows are kind of uneven. I don't know, I'm insane.)

Anyway, I'm ALMOST DONE WITH THIS KOBY V.2 THING.

Just got to fix up the wig (oh god it's such a thin piece of crap but I liked the layering. I need to add a bunch of wefts to the top so you can't see the damn net, and then trim it up a little), get some Harry Potter-ish glasses since my rectangular ones only work for Kalifa, and somehow put the Marine symbol on the back of the jacket. The pants… weren't supposed to look that dark, they looked a whole lot bluer in the store. (Which was Walmart, by the way. Hell yeah.) But I like them so I'm probably not going to do anything about that.

And... off-duty Koby? I just like making dorky faces as him.

Anyway, yeah. Someday when I'm not being really lazy I'll post all my old costumes in here for convenience-of-finding. Including the famous Sock!Lucci.

Here's the flashback to my five million Nami costumes.

Best photoshopped ledge ever. I never actually finished the shorts, the circles on them are just paper taped on. I fail at life. I win for having an actual orange grove behind the backyard of the house I grew up in though, so it evens out I guess.

Little Garden. This was one of my favorite things she ever wore, because the shirt was COMFORTABLE AND PRACTICAL AND NOT SKANKY.

I drew the tattoo backwards because I was watching myself draw it in a mirror. Whoops.

This is my other favorite thing she wore. Franky, I love you, but I miss early OP.

This is a really shitty picture (but apparently not from "the Latino perspective." What?). It's a shitty skirt too, I totally threw it out. I need to redo that thing sometime. I mean, I've still got the shirt and it's just… being useless in the closet.

I have a pretty awesome climatact I take around with that costume. Snaps apart into three pieces and everything. But… it was in another state at the time so... not in any pictures.

Oh god this was so poorly made. I screwed up the pattern really bad and it was too small to breathe in and then my dog walked on it and stained it and I threw it away.

These are the original colors this outfit was in, on the cover to… whatever volume of the manga it was on. THANKS FOR CHANGING THE COLORS SO THAT NO ONE RECOGNIZES IT ANYMORE, ANIME.

Here's the Fullbody stuff…

Uh, ignore the Boxman shirt, but there's the wig and part of the makeup and stuff for part 2 (featuring the other side of my face)…

And there's the actual costume. In the picture before this one, the costume was at my dad's house in Florida while the wig was at my mom's in Virginia. So awkward. I should really wear them at the same time someday. (That's my awesome friend Jackie as Tashigi, by the way.)

I think we all know my Spandam-Fullbody paternity theory by now. I love you, Irrestistiblement.

HEY NURLOCK. Do any of you guys wanna try to pull together a Blackbeard Pirates thing for Metrocon maybe? I just really wanna be Van Auger all of a sudden. o_o.; And I think I'll be terrible at it, but still.

Also, yeah, the kitchen is the only place in this dorm that has decent lighting (ie a window with sunlight) so that's where most pictures come from. It's sad. XD; Makes me miss Florida, we had such great OP-looking places for photos there.

… As odd as it may be, I have a secret of holding a strong urge to be Laffite for some reason. So, that could definately be possible. The only thing I really had thought of for Metro was something from another series so far, but that sounds.. great.

The suit looks really blue on my monitor for some reason, it's definitely green in person.

Aaaaand Lucci!

Okay, this is my famous ghetto Lucci that I just did for kicks one night to see if I could pull it off for real. The tie is a sock. The handkerchief is the other sock. I'm wearing a straw hat and the wig is a dark green one I photoshopped even darker.

So I did it for real.

Yeah, the colors are really off. This was what I had to work with in my closet.

Me with Irresistiblement rockin' the Paulie. We totally went to Cracker Barrel and Sonic like that, it was amazing.

And here's Kalifa.

The thing that sucks about that costume is that… you can't really use a wig when the hair's pulled back tight like that, and it's not worth it bleaching my hair every time I feel like wearing that to a con. Sooo sadly Kalifa was probably a one-time deal, even though I loved the costume.

So uh... I THINK that's it at the moment for OP characters. I've also done a bunch of modern day-AU RPG versions of Fullbody, Mr. 9 and Koby, which is the dorkiest thing ever, but I don't think anyone needs to see those.

Well, I agree, making it as accurate as possible is a huge part of the fun. If I dress up as Kalifa with short brown hair, I'm going to look in the mirror and think, "Man, I totally half-assed this thing." and be disappointed with myself. It always kills me when someone has an absolutely spectacular costume and then just doesn't even bother with the hair or the shoes or something. Because when you're one step away from perfect, why not go all the way when you could easily do it?

Oh God, you did that Mr. 9 cosplay?! I always adored it! All of your cosplays are amazing - you make a perfect Lucci, and egad, your Nami is SO adorable! The picture with the tangerine on your head is awesome in particular. I just love it when people strike poses from the manga, especially when they do it right. Kudos of making so many of her outfits, too.
Also, Fullbody makes one hell of a sexy girl. o_o;

Man one of these days I should cosplay, but sadly I'm too cheap to actually buy the material needed for the costumes. That and the fact that I do not look like any character from One Piece or any anime that I have seen so far, I blame my Irish heritage.

These are amazing cosplays, I particularly like that Mr. 9 one, it's really well done. All of your Nami cosplays are great, the one from the colorspread with fluffy jacket is very cool. You'd make an awesome Hina Fin Fish.

Okay, here's most of my stuff from other anime/manga:

Harry MacDougall from Outlaw Star. This is one of my favorites even though the vest is kind of terrible. It was the first thing I ever made from scratch though, so I guess it's excusable.

Jadeite from Sailor Moon, made by my awesome friend Zory. It's not really that blue in person, I don't know what's up with that.

Nabiki from Ranma 1/2. She was so awesome.

Ritsu from Fruits Basket. This is like the Ghetto Lucci where I just totally bullshitted it. The kimono is too pink and the obi… is actually an Ace bandage I photoshopped purple. That wig was so sweet though, I miss that thing. I tried to cut and style it for another costume and just killed it instead. Sigh. At least I got a totally awesome collage out of it.

Aizawa Taki from Gravitation. I hate that show but I love Taki.

I also love Tohma. This costume was pretty half-assed, but whatever.

The infamous Klinger from MAS*H. I'm freakin' amazing.

There's Margaret too. Also from MAS*H. Uniforms are so versatile. I want to eventually take a picture as every character from that show.

Uh, this isn't really cosplay, I just played Janet in the latest Rocky Horror show at my school and I like the makeup in this picture. Beauty mark's on the wrong side though. Whoops. That's what I get for doing my makeup while looking in a mirror.

Poison Ivy from Batman TAS. Yeah, that's my dorm bathroom. I can't find any boots that match and it's driving me crazy. I might have to just go the floral spray paint route. Ugh.

TULIO. Road to El Dorado! Okay, this is ANOTHER Ghetto Lucci type thing where I'm actually wearing a short sleeve shirt with a T-shirt over it. And my Lucci wig. Basically I just wanted to mess around with stubble makeup. I'm so doing this for real someday though.

Tara from the Buffy musical. I've fixed it up some since then (added more detail to the corset, although some of it looks kind of bad, and hemmed the skirt so I'm not tripping over it) and I need to make the wig a warmer shade of brown, but… there you have it. That costume ate my soul.

BUFFYBOT. This was a totally last minute costume for a Buffy con.

So was this really bad Willow. Ha. That's my Mr. 9 wig.

Other non-anime stuff I'm planning is Rosella from King's Quest VII and Snow Miser. And… probably some other stuff I'm forgetting.
