I wonder if Jack's life will be put in danger.
I wonder if he'll survive.
I wonder if people around Jack will drop like flies.
I wonder if people will not trust him despite his having saved the United States 5 times.
The answers to these rhetorical questions and more coming at you in Season 6!!!!!
Sorry to be so cynical.
I watch 24 but…yeah, basically to kill time.
Especially this season....it had so much potential.
But no, we conveniently pick up after the interesting parts are over.
BUT, it's not like there's much better to do around here.
And yes, totally Otcho.
I don't watch 24, but that's Otcho.
I couldn't get into 24 like, the concept was good enough but I just couldn't get into it lol.
24 starts in a couple weeks yet the 1st 4 hours have been leaked to BT
watched episode 1 its awsome.
I honestly do not see what people like in this show, or the other "15 minute" show Lost.
The shows overall concept of everything happening in a single 24 hour time frame is not truely possible as deep as the pathetic storyline tries to be.
At my college, there is a group that loves this show. So sad, almost as sad as American Idol.
except for its action packed and kinda epic
its like an action movie that you go to see for specific reasons only once a week
Spoilers for S6 Episode 1
! lol at Jack going Vampire on that guard
The strange thing is that if Jack has to take a 3 hour plane journey to where ever these terrorists are do they actually waste 3 episodes just getting him there and showing you how he kills time on the plane? No, which makes it totally unrealistic.

its called TV for a reason
its unrealistic for this much stuff to happen to one city in 24 hours but it still happens in the show

There fixed it for you.
Seriously, I don't get why people bitch about this, but yet when other people bitch about anime it's always like "OMG!!! I can't beileve it!!"
People have different interests which is why I am careful about bashing on what other people like because doesn't mean I have to put them down for liking it. Although I happen to do it sometimes, I am careful about it.
Anyway, yes this show is highly unrealistic, but it's fun and interesting to watch.
I can't wait for season 6. Also can someone post a pic that guy who everyone is comparing him too? I want to see the difference.
oh darn!!! I so wanted to make a thread for this. Maybe I will make one for season seven or the movie… 24 is my favorite show and i love it so much. Jack Bauer has come a long way to get the point were he is at today. My friend thought that since there was so many twists that the show was predictable. He was dead wrong.Did you know that only 2 caharcters have appeared all six seasons and live to the tale and they are my favorite characters:jack Bauer and Agent Aaron Pierce.Curtis is my third favorite because he gets shot every episode and he still lives. I hope this new season will be as promising as the commercials said it would be.

Contracts, schedules and deals.
When someone dies in 24 someone with equal abilities inevitably replacing them making the loss not only worthless, but unmoving.
Now if losing someone like the two big characters from Season 5 somehow put a huge monkey wrench in the gears of the overall plot…okay, cool. But when people die in 24 someone crawls out of the wall to replace them and it's like....oh hey...'sup ^o^;
I agree just loke the sexual harrasment girl that replaced Edgar in season 5 and had problems with her too.

Holy shyt yes that perfectly exemplifies what I was talking about.
That was like….WHAT!?
Anyway, not to make this a h4t3 thread.
I watch 24 too afterall.
Never bothered to watch 24, I'd like to know what the hype is all about but I can't just jump into where the series is now, doubt it'll make much sense.
No way am I watching everything before this either. Only TV shows I really enjoy are sitcoms and late night talk shows like Conan.
Buuhan1 I was in the same situation as you the day before season five premere. I saw my first episode(Day 1:3 to 4 pm) and then I watched season 5 and didnt understand a thing but it helps to watch. 24 is on everysingle day off the week(A&E season 2)(Fox season 1 i think) or you could buy the season for $20(season 1)
Greg member when Bill patted her on the back and she said to Chloe:Did you see how he touched me…it was wrong.

I'm not quite sure what you mean here.
Nevermind…
How did the new episodes of 24 get out so early?

The magic we call Torrents.
It's a magical place we call Torrents!
U and Az and Tornados to
You can see it all if you… Torrent.
That's how they got the episodes... BitTorrent.
That was also the BitTorrent song.
I was watching something on TV and they said they were putting it on their offical website or something. Maybe someone just saved it and torrented it?
Just watched the Season Permiere and I have to say, KICK ASS! Those two hours just flew by. Cannot wait for tomorrow for the new 2 hours! YES!
! btw, any one notice that guy from movies Van Wilder and Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle is in this season? HIS nae is Kal Penn
I did notice i was suprised that he was on there, too. A very good season premere. I wonder waht the other episodes will be like?
So far so good. Its a nice start. The two hours did fly by very fast. I wish they would air two hours of "24" each Sunday because waiting 20 weeks for everything to unfold is torture itself.
I got one of my aunts addicted to this show over Christmas. I got the family a four season set. She watched two episodes and said that was enough for her. After being convinced of this, I revealed the secret ending to her. Then somewhere down the line, she couldn't stand the suspense anymore. Now she watches two episodes a night, then calms down with a show called Scrubs. She tells me that 24 is stuck in her head at work, and claims to be mad at me for getting her addicted to the series.
But yeah, great 2 hour opening, can't wait until tomorrow.
Watched the last hour of it last night for the hell of it. I was surprised to see that dude from Harold and Kumar.
You know the package Kumar's got is a solid Kilo of the sticky-icky
I watched all tonights 2 hour episode. I'm sorry but this is boring to hell, at least for me. 2 hours, I think that was fair enough for me to see if I like it or not.
oh my god.
this just
im fucking speechless, also CURTIS NOOO ;___;
I suppose Curtis was the black guy…yeah, I suppose that'd be a shock if this wasn't basically my first episode.
Curtis died? Okay, that means my predictions are page 1 are right on track so far.
Curtis deserved to die because he followed step 1 of the how to get yourself killed on 24 plan.
1. Go against Jack.
Curtis died? Okay, that means my predictions are page 1 are right on track so far.
! Yeah, he was being vengeful towards Assad so Jack had to take him out.
See here's the thing. The series would be great, if they just admitted Jack was a superhero and he wore a cape.
He will/can do anything to get the job done.
Anyone around him is expendable/replaceable.
I will personally be surprised if he loses an arm a foot or a leg. That would spark my interest.
But I am looking forward to seeing this season for all my negative quips. I like when he does stuff like hijack a plane from scratch.
Damn It!!!! They are going to air "24" against "Heroes" Stuff like this can cause one of these series to get cancelled. I guess I'll have to choose "24" and hope "Heroes" will repeat again on Sci-Fi network.
@Greg:

Or you can say he is the American version of James Bond. It is weird to go from tortured prisoner just back from China, to become CTU agent in charge of a strike team in just four hours.

Well, that's the kind of stuff I can buy because it's just TV.
It's basically the same concept as Season 2. He's a worn-out bearded grumpy old man contemplating suicide and in less than 15 minutes he has a clean shave and shoots a guy in the neck then hacks him up.
That's TV so ok. No biggie.
But the character deaths. Just don't strike me the way they do on something like Lost or a comic book.
I mean, how many times is it now they've killed a major player in the first 5 episodes of the season?
Ugh, I really, REALLY hate to sound negative. It's just something to talk about. Anything I haven't said here I genuinely like. 24 is a show I REALLY REALLY want to get hardcore into. But the writers won't let me.
Yeah there are a lot of character deaths, and I heard rumors saying that Chloe may die this season (Says FOX 5 news at 10). BTW, at Golden Globe Awards, 24 did not win this year and it was "Grey's Anatomy." I was very displeased cause it somehow beat two of my favorite drama shows. THe other two nominations were Big Love and Heroes.
I just caught the first two hours i missed in the premiere (lol advanced vhs technology)
I STILL CANT BELIEVE HE BIT THAT GUY'S NECK AND KILLED HIM DJHBJSHBJHBKJLHJ
i wonder what happened to his hand D:
good episode
! Evil mastermind from the Terrorist Room is back and hes Jack's Brother!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wait, wait, wait. 24 AND Prison Break are on in the same night? For real?
Holy shit. I'd hate to be any other network than Fox on Monday nights.
more like Global
8pm - Prison Break, 9pm - Heroes, 10pm - 24
god I love canadian TV stations
Wait, wait, wait. 24 AND Prison Break are on in the same night? For real?

NBC will surely be doomed! And Heroes was such a fun show…
This is a really old thread but i thought it deserved to be revived as the recent season 7 has just been leaked on to the net and was wondering what people who have seen them think about them so far!!
I for one am just so happy its back after waiting a whole year without bauer and co!
And having just seen the first 4 episodes of the new season am amazed how good it is so far!!!!!!! :D:D
Plus the revelation that….....
! …..Tony Almeida is still a good guy and is working with Bill Buchanen and Chloe O'Brian has made my day/week/year!! :D:D:D:D:D:D
