I need help with sizing/re-sizing my images. I don't think I have photoshop, but I do have MS paint. If someone knows what file type I should save my images as (jpeg, gif, bmp, etc), in a way that will keep it as far from 100kb as possible, please let me know.

(PS: I put this here because I doubt it would be answered in the Help forum. Thnx.)

The smallest way to save would be with a .jpg, but if you only use MSP then you may have some ugly compression. Saving gifs is pretty much out of the question, so I suggest .png.

Though if it's a complex picture, it may end up being too big anyway.

          Sorry…😊

I saved it, and it went from 249,974 to 249,974...-_- (Stupid paint)

I doubt my image can be re-sized, but I will try png. If anyone has alternative methods, please let me know!

well, then it was already a jpeg. png will not do the trick. just resize it with paint.

n… no way you don't know.

ok, in paint, go in image then stretch/skrew, and change the values as you wish.

If you want your file size to be small save it as .gif. The quality will be a little bad but the size will be fairly small. Never save it as .png if you want a small size. .png is for high quality pictures and the size are usually around a mb.

Thanks. 😁 The quality suffered, but I think I get the hang of it.

This can be closed I guess.
