Something weird on the animation logbook

hallo! yesterday i was fliping around my animation logbook (japan) and i was looking it with a regular desk lamp… to my surprise i found on the "gomu gomu" cardboard insert another texture on the paper... it's like a small square over the cardboard... here are some pics:

first pic is the insert (sorry for the blurry-ness)… there's a yellow arrow that indicates something...

and this pic shows where the change of texture is… i added loads of contrast so the difference is visible

anyone knows what's this?

yea, i "tried" that (i was quite reluctant to scratch it too much)… but no smell came out... LOL

Maybe it's a clue for something? Like,I know this sounds weird,but maybe in that spot on the pages there is something?

It's kind of blurry, but I think it says "scratch and sniff here". So, yeah.
