This episode made me laugh so much.

It's too bad that I couldn't make it for the New York Anime Festival (I'm down here in San Diego), but I'm glad to hear about One Piece's increasing popularity. I'd also like to support Funi, but my financial status isn't ideal.

This week's anime episode was moderate at best, IMO. The pacing wasn't as bad as last week's, but it did drag on quite some. Hancock's imagination was both hilarious and annoying at the same time, while the Jimbei vs Mihawk filler wasn't as good as expected. The scene with Buggy vs Mihawk did make that episode, though. I enjoyed the music during the recap too. Well, I await the next episodes.

Maybe we should notify Toei or Shueisha about the One Piece Podcast. Then, I'd like to see a video of you guys meeting Oda-sensei.

I nearly facepalmed at Hancock's illusion and that Buggy joke, lol. The Buggy joke was utterly dumb, but it was still hilarious at the same time.

heh i thought i saw you guys at NYAF, i also went to the bandai and FUNimation panels, they were pretty sweet! Although most of the stuff Bandai said, Aniplex had already mentioned the previous day (and without technical difficulties i might mention).

i wanted to go to the bryant park meetup too but the Durarara panel and screening started at 3:15 and i had to go early so i couldnt come.

Well listened your NYCC/NYAF review and yes I agree on many points (from being super packed to the dubious locations of some booths). I also noticed the separation between the NYCC area and the NYAF (since I was almost all the time at the NYCC area it was kinda odd for me not to see much of NYAF featured until my later floor explorations).

And about the increase of people, on a comic podcast I listened last monday, the guy in charge was interviewed and well he said there was an 133% increase on sales from last year with both cons combined.

"Detective Conan is not coming back."

Gosh, ouch. I haven't watched it since it was on Adult Swim back in the day, but you were really confident there, Zach. lol

Why don't you tell (by tell, I mean drill into their heads) that to the people who ask questions about the status of Case Cosed/Detective Conan at every single convention? I don't know about this one, I stopped paying attention to the stream once I noticed FUNimation wasn't going to announce anything new at all. Which they didn't. There wasn't just a lack of any One Piece announcements, there was nothing new at all.

But yeah, it seems like at every convention there are always the obligatory "Are you guys going to release Sailor Moon?", "More Case Cosed?", etc. questions that are just really common sense. I believe there was one at a recent convention that asked about Big Windup! a while after FUNimation had confirmed that Season 2 would not be licensed.

I've never been to an convention (there is like nothing down here in the South) but I have to imagine those same questions must get annoying after a while. Especially after a panel where FUNimation announced absolutely nothing!

On the anime recap: The Muggy Ball part, I thought it was so much funnier in the manga. I thought that the joke kind of ruined it here. =( I just distinctly remember seeing that Buggy face in the chapter and bursting out laughing. I knew I couldn't expect the anime to do the same thing, though.

Wow I can't believe it took me this long to notice there was a new episode out.

You guys are so lucky getting to hang out with Tatum all the time.

I'm definitely gonna watch Summer Wars sometime in the future. It sounds interesting.
