Well, I'm currently re-reading the Usopp vs. Luffy fight because I'm bored, and I had a thought- could Usopp have picked up a Reject Dial from Skypiea?
I know they're rare and the Skypieans probably wouldn't want to part with them, but remember they had no need to bear arms, plus Skypiea didn't have rubber so they must have thought it was a fair trade.
Thoughts?
Why wouldn't the Skypiea's need to bare arms? That arc didn't end war forever in Skypiea.
Anyway,I think that Usopp won't get a Reject dial just cause it would make his future fight too easy.. It'd be an obvious DEM, plus Wiper is the only type of fighter who's enough of a tank to use Reject.

There was no way that Ussop could've gotten a reject. If I remember correctly, Wiper was the only person with possession of a reject dial.

he even refered to it as an impact dial; atleast in the anime, ill check the manga

Maybe it's just a translation mix-up then, 'cos in the OP MSN group V2 the chief says "So….there's no need to bear arms anymore?"
the one Ussop used in his battle with Luffy is just an Impact Dial and not a Reject Dial :P
usopp would have died if he use reject dial even if he has it…

I don't think he's suggesting that Usopp had reject dial but thought it was impact dial, he's just saying maybe he's got it somewhere but hasn't used it. I think everyone has had that thought, and we've had this discussion many times before, but what we do know is that 1) reject dials extremely rare 2) using it could kill the user. It's not impossible that Usopp has a reject dial, but very unlikely. Knowing that it's a deadly attack (impact is damaging enough to himself), the only time I'd expect to see it is in the most desperate situation. But more likely, he doesn't have it.

Coincidentally, can you foresee this? Ace is a prisoner of Blackbeard, and Usopp obviously can't beat all 5 of them together, so Usopp could rescue Ace by sucking him up into the flame dial?

Smoker: Hmm. It could happen.
Ace: We haven't seen the end of that fight, but I'm trying to figure out how Ace could loose (unless Blackbeard is also a logia user OR he has a crapload of seastone). Otherwise I would think that setting someone on fire is a pretty good way to win a fight.

I mean: Impact dials can absorb energy, so the user would use the reject dial and protect himself with the impact dial, to absorb the shock of the reject dial's use. Could this work? Just wondering!

Somehow, I still don't think that'd work. IMO, the Skypieans/Shandians were smart, so they would probably have tried that already.
