this has been puzzling me for the last little while

we all know that he went to skypeia between 22 to (howerver old he was) years ago

thanks to the info from the Skypeia characters, the was was still going on.

I believe Gan Fall was still in Charge (IE before Enel).

None of them knew where the Bell was (or else the Chief is a good lier).

      and Roger

      1. Got to the Bell

      2. Carved a Message into it

so how did he know where it was? or did he just comb the country

well that has been mentioned before

the how he got there is unknown but the how he knew is easy, just like robin did,by reading the sculptures in the walls

that would make him out to be a full blow archeologist (since the language was Ancient)

Or maybe he had an archeologist like Robin, who scribed the text in the bell?

              @Shinji:

This depends on what type of person Gol D Roger really is. He could have the intellegence of all the SH members combined. (for Luffy I dont know whether or not to decrease that limit). Still the fact remains, the fact on whether or not Roger carved it in, doesn't account the fact that he knew what type of message to give to the next reader. If a person who could read Poneglyphs were to read that message, they would continue the search of the Void History.

If you think further along the line, if Roger did right it, it could me an that he doesn't think that any archaeologist has the potential to use history and knowledge to commit unspeakable acts. To explain further on this, Roger probably also thinks that only true commited Archaeologists would go and learn to read poneglyphs.

Isn´t it self explenatory? If Roger (or one of his crewmates) was able to leave a message in the ancient language then of course he was able to read texts in that language.

And if you now look that Robin was able to find Shandora thanks to her ability to read those words aswell as to conclude where the Belfry is the situation shouldn´t be any different for Roger now should it? 😉

                    Isn't this established?
Roger writes/reads in the ancient language and is seeking the Poneglyphs/Rio Poneglyph.
He's a scholar. End of discussion.

I think for now, the answer:

                      "He's Roger lol."

is enough. He can do this stuff cause he's the frickin Pirate King.

                        My point exactly.

However, 'he's the pirate king' isn't a reasonable answer for how he was captured/executed.

Maybe 'The Will of D' led him to it.

I can't take that answer seriously for some strange reason!

                            It sounds too corny! XD
