I have to say that scene when Robin yells out "I wanna live" is the best ever to be shown in japanese anime. Seriously gave me the chills all over. I also love the scene where Portgas D. Ace falls asleep in Arabasta, laughed myself to tears:D
The conclusion of Luffy vs Crocodile by far. In my opinion there still, to this date, nothing in One Piece which tops it.
Tho with how crazy the manga is getting lately that may soon change.

Yeah. Even if it is the opening, I think my favorite moment in One Piece is in the Strawhat version of We Are! Right at the end, when Luffy yells. "WE ARE!" It makes me smile and laugh.
Yeah, that version of We Are has been out for…god knows how long. I was waiting for the day it'll be used in the anime.
A few of my favorite moments:
My first one is gotta be Robin screaming "I want to Live" a tear came down my eyes when i watched this part… even though i didn't feel like crying... it just came out...
Luffy beating the shit out of Crocodile... and when crocodile was flying in the air spinning... that one was the best ending in luffy's fight...
my 3rd would be Vivi screaming when she was at the top of the tower...
I love how Bon Clay's last scene and Kaku's falling scene were animated.
There are some times in the manga where I think "I wonder how they animated this?" or "I really hope they did a good job animating this." It's a real treat when the animation lives up to my expectations.

Ahh i dont even remember the earliest great moments in OP but i do remember that Luffy beating Croc with Storm was one of the most awesome moments ever…
...but not as great as Robin shouting "I want to live!". I really had to struggle not to cry. Afterwards i regretted not crying though because if a scene exists where youre allowed to cry, that scene is the one :) I usually dont even come close to crying in movies, tv-series or any other animes, but One Piece has got me struggling so many times. Thats the reason why ill probably never stop being a fan.

Hm, seems like the truly great scenes are the ones where you get emotional just by seeing them appear in a list of best one piece anime moments. Such was the case with "Hiluluk's final speech".
Some of the beginning of Skypiea is great, especially the parts with Usopp Luffy and Sanji on the crow boat thing.
I like the dialogue that goes on between Captain Kuro and Luffy while they're fighting…a lot.
When Luffy is about to die on the execution platform, that whole episode. I think it's the only episode ever to not have a commercial break thing in the middle.

I have to say I loved the entire Davy Backfight in the Anime.
I love the bit where nami is sick and you see see zoro going down the stairs. He then see's luffys back and when he turns around his face is in knots with meat written on it, Zoro's reaction was priceless

Had I not seen this particular scene animated I would have gone with the final fight between Luffy and Crocodile just for that awsome use of the song "New World Symphony". Of course the scene I'm refering to is Jyabura's Chicken and his facial reaction to Usopp.

Here are a few moments I loved (up to the end of the Arabasta saga, because I'm way behind.)
1. When Luffy said "Don't you dare make my navigator cry!" to Arlong.

3. When Luffy was trying to make Nami smile when she was sick ("Come on, Nami, smile for me". Well if I was Nami and saw Luffy's face, I'd probably die laughing)
4. Ace falling asleep while eating.
5. Crocodile getting his tush whupped by Luffy.
6. Ditto Ms. MerryChristmas by Usopp and Chopper.
7. Okama way (talk about double meanings!)
8. Gin eating the fried rice and thanking Sanji.

There are too many awesome moments in One Piece. The first things that come to mind is the entirety of Arlong Park and Chopper's flashback, Vivi vs. Luffy, the ending of episode 129 and Sogeking.

Just saw the part where Zoro spots Chopper lying unconscious in the ordeal of iron. Pretty cool, given the randomness of finding your small fuzzy animal friend lying bloodied up on top of a beanstalk cloud. Zoro's reaction really shows that he cares for that furball that always clings to his face.

Robin's " I WANNA LIVE!". Her voice acter deserves a medal.
Luffys " NAMI! YOU ARE MY NAKAMA!". I cried that time.
Kaku's devil fruit and Jabura's reaction.
And not to mention Luffy's victory against Crocodile and Enel.
