Why is the intro song mostly japanese but then some parts of the song are in english like at the end where they say something along the lines of a pocket of coins, do you wna be my friend and when luffy yells we are?

"Pocket no Coin? Soreto, you wanna be my friend? We are, we are on the cruise? WE ARE!"?
Because often times they mix. Not really the first time. Maybe English is "cool" over in Japan. I mean, for God's sake, one of the main character's name is Tom. They also make references…
Like... Gomu Gomu no Pistol/Bazooka/Shotgun/etc. Burn Bazooka, Crocodile, "Nice". They say English words all the time. They said alot of English words in Japanese Kh2, as well. I was really surprised.
"Watashiwa Sorewayws Blah blah yad yada 'DTD! DOOR TO DARKNESSU!" Watashiwah etc." I still liked the feeling of knowing what they were saying.

Japan always speaks a little English…Not always but they know it.
-
a lot of other languages have english word mixed in their songs too, english is the most used language on earth right? :>
-
Yeah a lot of anime's have got engrish in them. The biggest one I have seen is beck.
"HEY! WHAT DA FUCK ARE YOU DOIN TO MAH CAR?!"
-
in the japanese sonicX sonic stops and says "Oh what a nice view!" He always shouts things in english. In songs i figure they use english so it ryhmes or fits with the beat of the music.
-
Japanese think it's cool to add a little English into their songs. :P That's all.
-
Well, we put Spanish into songs that are mostly English. Don't tell me we've all forgotten the sweet serenade of Rico Suave already !

I asked my Japanese friend, Kohei, about the use of English words in the Japanese dialect and he responed that "English in Japan is Spanish in America". So, I assume since Spanish is a class in education here in America, I guess English is a class over in Japan.
To be honest, I'd rather be learning Japanese than Spanish. Being a gamer and manga author/anime watcher, that would be much more useful. I mean, it's not like I intend to ever visit Spain in my lifetime…

Yeah, I think all Japanese take English at some point…although that does not make them fluent in English anymore than taking spanish classes makes the average American fluent in Spanish (I took 2 years in high school and 2 semesters in college and I can't communicate much beyond basics with a Spanish speaker).
