All right folks. No, we haven't forgotten about this, and yes, we actually have a date! Saturday, July 16th, 2005. For those of you who don't know what this is about…we're going to be having a Japanese culture/anime tour of New York City, where EvilGamerX, RoboBlue, and myself can show you guys good places to eat and shop! It's also a chance for our members to meet up in a friendly setting, and have a good time.

This thread is for two things - to see who can actually show up on July 16th, and to see who would want to/be able to stay overnight. Staying overnight isn't required, of course, but we realize that some of you might be traveling a decent distance to get here, and might not want to/be able to get home that evening. If enough people want to, we will look into finding a suitable hotel.

But for now - who's going? Also, I'll be editing this post as we find out who's going and if they can stay! Please let us know as you guys find out!

Well, I don't think I would go way out of my way to go, but it sounds really fun. AND I coincidentally happen to be in New York City on July 16th, but I don't know how many days im going to be there (because in july im going to be in New Jersey, and I dont know how long ill be in NY) But there is still a good chance that I am going to be there. Good work organizing this Seta ginny (and/or Roboblue and EvilGamerX).

I've lived in New York for pretty much my whole life, but I just recently got into anime a year or so ago so this seems like a perfect thing to learn even more about anime and where to go in my home city to buy some cool stuff (read: waste more money I shouldn't be wasting).

BTW people, if you are ever in NY. Me and RoboBlue are practically there every Saturday (except when I am in college). So basically Mid-May till beginning of Sept. So just drop a pm. Like you Cgoten.

New Japanese chain just opened in NYC….well actually it is scheduled to open, they fudged up the gas but REGARDLESS it will be open by then. It's a yakiniku restaurant and it's delicious as hell. The chain is called Gyu Kaku.
