how did they do that if the sea is suppose to drain them of thier strength. shouldnt the ice have the same effect as the sea stone(another hard name).

Sea stone is made from concentrated ocean. Luffy Robin and Chopper are not affected by the sea unless they are completely in the water.
yea otherwise i would think rain would affect them too.

That wasn't lake water…that was water from the sea, wasn't it?
I swore Rain Diners (That was the name, right?) was surrounded by sea water, and that was also what the bananadiles were in.

So it doesn't have to be salt water….it can be any pool of water, but power is drained depending on how much of the body is submerged. So just touching the sea with his hand won't do much.
