Well, I may get into a little rant here…
But truth be told, hentai isn't all that pathetic. Sure, it's just ink lines, and shading, but it leaves more to the imagination. I've had men who told me that hentai focuses on the women more instead of your normal porno that always seem to show the guy's face as he begins to open the water-dam. Now, I'm no man with over twenty gigs of porn in his computer, but I know for one thing that porn kicks ass. Jerkin' the slim-jim to hentai is a little on the weird side, but hey, with porn you're stuck with a director who thinks showing us the guy's facial expression as he reaches climax is crucial, a porn-star who practically remodeled her whole figure with terrible acting skills, and the same stuff over and over again. With hentai, it's more exotic because of the crazy things that it has, and it's practically porn, but as I said earlier it just leaves more to the imagination which is a good thing. Also, storyline. Important stuff. There's alot of guys out there who say just bring out the sex, but it's better when you understand and know the characters... unless it's another rape scenario, then just go ahead and skim foward to the boom chicka bow wow ... man, I sort of forgot what I was sayin' half-way through.

Oh cow! I knew there were some licensed Anime series that had animated hentai films/series, but I didn't know there was a TV series devoted to it. Cowboy Bebop, DBZ, Pokemon, Those who hunt Elves, etc, all in one show. Too bad the animation is pretty crappy. I won't post the title here due to the PG-13 rules. Don't want to kids to go searching for this particular title, do we?

"Hentai" is such a broadly used term, at least in the US (not sure of how it's used in Japan except it refers to people instead of movies or doujin or manga), that it tends to encompass every sort of media from Japan involving sex. Not all doujinshi are sex-related (as they are so often thought of), and not all sex-related doujinshi are the ridiculously-proportioned girls and bodily fruids flying everywhere, gang-bang weirdo perv stuff, either. There are actually some doujinshi out there that have smut that are really cute and rather sweet, some are funny, some are strange, and a lot of them have more going on than just sex. Granted not usually any grand, sweeping adventure plot, but more than just a porn, anyway. So to me, sweeping it all into the same bag seems kind of unfair.
Oh, and I've seen SM and the Seven Balls. It was somewhat amusing at first, and then I rapidly lost interest as I recall.
