Thanks BF for the scan. Nice chapter unfortuantly Oda would end the chapter just when we see Whitebeard again. I thought that their meeting wouldn't be until after the SH's crossed the redline. Also what in God's name is that thing that Enel see's in the crater. Even though I don't understand Japanese I loled at Paulie in image 52. I can just imagine Paulie is standing firm on his stance on women in skimpy clothes, and Nami is telling him to give it a rest. Any man who is not attracted to a woman(other than Kokero) in a bikini must be having some severe issues.

And I wonder what's that Eneru saw in the moon crater? It has a soldier helmet and looks quite short…

I hope I don't get in trouble for this, but am i the only one who finds it a little off the "Fire Fist" Ace keeps refering to Shanks and WB as Red Phoenix and White Tiger. Even though you only need 2 points for a straight line, the verification comes with a 3rd point, i think you should wait till we at least find out of the name of one of the other two Emperors, maybe i'm just being picky.
So, Coby reveals that they entered the GL through the Calm Belt (CB). I could have sworn I saw something somewhere where Coby & Helmeppo were scared sh*tless coming down RM into the GL. Was this filler (screw up) by Toei? I'm at work, so I can't look up the coverstories.
I'm somewhat "shocked" and impressed, yet now dumbfounded by Aokiji. So he really was just "testing" Nico Robin. Makes me wonder if there isn't some kind of upheavel (sp) ready to go within the WG. We're lead to believe the WG is corrupt and marines just follow orders, but as the story progresses, we start learning more about the major characters and there's definitely something in the works IMO. Is it coincidental that Garp & Aokiji show up to W7, could they be the leaders of an internal overthrow within marines and WG itself.

yaaaay i really liked this chapter, partying and good times for all! AND AOKIJI!!!!! my favorite bad guy ever :wub: that convo with robin was quite interesting…..
and if anything, just seeing Nami in that bikini REALLY brightened up my day.

I've never thought Aokiji a real bad guy (zealot of absolute justice), and I think this kind of proves it. He's obviously been in the Navy for a long time, so he has probably witnessed all types of corruption that has been labeled as good. From what I have read, he isn't on good terms with his higher ups (Sengoku after he let Robin go at O'hara and the Gourousei when he left without their orders) as well as atleast one of his equals (Akainu when he destroyed the passenger ship 20 years ago). Maybe seeing Luffy succeeding against them has made him think about his position. Maybe Dragon has already affected him. All I can say is that he may actually be on the Straw Hat's side, if not completely now, then maybe later.

So, is Nami going to have the bottom of the new boat coated with Seastone to protect it against Sea Kings? After all, she was eavsedropping on Coby and Luffy's conversation, so she understands the signifigance of what was said more than Luffy. Of course, then Luffy wouldn't be able to hug the boat because of the debilitating effects.

Nami will have the Franky Family steal the seastones from Garp's ship. Then the SHs ran away into Calm Water (in their new ship carved with seastones ofcourse) . That will get rid of Garp and Coby, at least hold them back for awhile.

My translation is up now in the Translation Forum. I don't think it's quite as good as last week's – the scan was blurry enough that I got lost at a couple of points -- but I think all the important plot points are translated accurately, and there's probably only a few bits of dialogue in passing that I really fumbled.

Don't know if this is still wanted now that there's an MQ out, but I cleaned up the LQ, cropped it, adjusted the levels, and joined the spread. I think it's just about MQ now. The spread was difficult, hope it's okay.

huh? where was that then? i totally agree about spending the time it takes to build a ship on non-mugiwara stuff. though i wouldn't be against actually seeing luffy and sanji training for the first time.

Interesting stuff. Nami sure looks nice, especially with semiproportional assets. I do wonder if the next chapter or two will strictly show Shanks and Whitebeard or will it be sporadic back and forths. Either way, a good end to Water 7, though I keep wanting Franky's and Usopp's status to be answered soon, though at this rate I'm not sure how much longer it'll take.

Well, here we are, cleaned up the MQ scans until I think they're just about HQ quality. I had to make them slightly smaller to get rid of the compression artifacts in the scans, but overall I think it's okay. There wasn't much I could do about the Movie 7 page or the spread (due to cropping), but I tried to make both look decent.
