I honestly don't know if a topic like this was made already but oh well.
If Sanji and Zoro had to fight eachother who do you think would win. Zoro with his Santoryu style of sword fighting or Sanji with his might kicks of doom?

zoro would win and yes there was a topic done by the great Devil^_^kid http://ap.animemedia.org/index.php?showtopic=352
You're joking right? It's Flesh versus Steel. Flesh doesn't cut Steel, Steel cuts Flesh.
Like I said in the other topic…

**Well what I think he means is that its two totally different styled fighters being compared here. If Sanji used his kitchen knife then sure, I'd consider a fair fight of some sort, but the thing is.. he doesn't.Zoro is definitely at an advantage because of his swords. Hit a sword with another sword and you'll get sparks, but hit a leg with a sword and you'll get blood. Zoro can afford a few hits, because hits to his weapon causes no physical harm to him whatsoever, though Sanji blocking a hit, he'd suffer physical damage, especially since the thing he is putting at risk is what he needs most in his fights.
Its like saying… who would win in a fight, a guy with a shotgun, or a guy with a baseball bat? And then try and follow up your logic for a fair fight like: "Oh well what if he threw his bat and it hit a pillar that fell over and clocked the other guy in the head?!" Waste of time.

Well it said on the other topic that Zoro can't do much without his sowrds, but if he lost his swords or he is unable to use them he could use Mutoryu, it's a really powerful attack and he uses no swords.
did he ever use this attack? personally i think zoro can do well without his swords against a guy who uses his fists and legs, but if the other guy has a weapon then zoro is in trouble
The Tatsumaki? It'd hurt him, but I'm positive it wouldn't end the fight. Plus, Sanji knows about it.
ok have you watched movie 5. something happens between them.
spoiler:
zoro hits sanji with ine hit and sanji is injured.

Well Zoro knows all about Sanji's attacks. He could dodge out of the way of most of them, or he would take them head on and keep fighting.

The movie wasn't made by Oda, so it doesn't really matter what happens in the movies.
If Zoro lost his sword, then Sanji would win. But they're really different, and you can't compare them.

Even if Zoro saw every attack Sanji has, he still wouldn't be able to completely defend against the style. Straw Hats tend to improvize in battle. The swordless Tastumaki is the only thing like that Zoro has so far, so of course Sanji would look out for it. And I doubt even Zoro can take a full combo from Sanji. It doesn't have anything to do with being tough, it's because Sanji's kicks aren't exactly taps.

Really, that's all that needed to be said, I just felt like getting that off my chest.
Well you have to keep in mind, if Straw Hat pirates improvise the battle Zoro would too. Also Zoro has taken much more than Sanji's kicks in his life. If Gin could take Sanji's kicks and still fight Zoro could.
well sanji was wounded from pearl so he wasnt at his full strenght and btw gin is pretty strong in case ypu missed that^^
Zoro is really strong too if you didn't notice.

As wolfwood said, Sanji was wounded and also Sanji has probably gotten much stronger. After all he has grown.
But what about the battle against Cabaji and Zoro, Zoro was injured beond belief and he still fought and won against Cabaji. And if it matters that was one of the first ten episodes so he was still "young."

Apples and oranges. Can you prove that the injuries were the same? What if Sanji had that fight with Cabaji in the same circumstances as Zoro and won? You can't prove it, you won't know. So what's the big point of this whole thing? We won't know until they fight for real. That may never happen. You can speculate, but don't bring up points that you can't prove.
Well for one thing their injuries were the same if you compare them, Zoro was wounded eally bad to the point where he could barley stand, while Sanji probably had alot of broken bones.
I the fight against Cabaji Sanji might have won, who knows Zoro might have won against Pearl, but my point was that they can both fight with severe damage to their bodies.
well first in one of the movie zoro owns sanji like hell with only one,,,three slahes to kill him mwahahahahahhaha jk :D
Although I am more on Sanji's side, I have to admit that Zoro will win Sanji :/
Zoro has more defense then Sanji with his swords. I don't think Sanji has anything much with his legs for defense except for dodging attacks.
In my opinion Zoro would own Sanji. But without his swords I still think he would win but it would be a close match.

Pretty much the purpose of this topic is to have a good argument about it. We all know who is most likeley to win in each situation but there are what ifs that are out there for discussion.
Though the thing about what if's is that they are universally infinite.
The best we can do is come up with good percentages of advantage, unless Oda actually comes out and says these things. Whoever is most likely to win in each situation, may it be Sanji or Zoro, would be most likely to win UNLESS the situation comes to it. If the case is that than Oda would probably be able to work his magic and probably surprise Sanji and Zoro fans alike.
