ohh. Arararararara….this thread suddenly got lively when i was not paying attention, hehehe. why don't the poll have the celestial dragons / cpo as an option, or world government as a more broad yet profond option instead of just Akainu or Just 5 elders? why do so many members speak of the worldgovernment as just the marines, when they are just like a single card of the real personel in authority?
@Rob, if the world government, blackbeard and luffy fractions fought during the final battle any idea what each respectively would be fighting over? There are to many pages in the threads to read in a short period of time, but i am curious, Don't know if you have explained those in yours or maybe MK's past opinonated "outlook" on the final villain or what not.
Do you foresee, this is if it actually happens, the battle to play out similar to marinford cause to me i have a hard time picturing blackbeard trying to overthrow the world government; which leaves our protagonist and his reaction then, would he not concentrate on blackbeard as he since the defeat of ace always seem pretty heated when blackbeard in person or even just his words( Dressorosa) makes an appearance in his presence and what would stop the government side from withdrawing and then eliminate (Try)the last weakened pirate fraction left standing? or will blackbeard be the one to do what burgess attempted on derssorosa while luffy and the government fights? will eigher of the two rivals as i see black beard and luffy, ever really hold a candle to the full force of the government?
i always thought luffy and blackbeard( and maybe though unlikely Kidd) will unite the pirate world under their selves respectfully, but eve then the world government seems so much stronger, hell the marines plus pacifista would likely stale mate eigher blackbeard or luffy if they unified the pirates so what would result when we add in cpo and the armies of the countries that would remain loyal to the current world power and unknowns like kong and any cards up their sleeves?
ps the location should have great influence on any possible battle in this fashion as well imo atleast, so do you all think its raftel a marine base, maybe blackbeards base, marijoa?
I started posting around page 66, and I think a lot of the "big" questions were answered again after that. I personally believe that as much as the WG likes to mantain the status quo, in recent years they have started to lose a bit of their hold in the world. They achieved the death of Ace and Whitebeard, to bring forth an even worse threat (WB was really just living his days out, while BB has an active goal - chaos, pirate king and so forth). Blackbeard ruined a lot of their hardwork when he freed the level 6 prisoners. On the other spectrum Luffy has just been going wherever he wants and getting his way (except the Summit war, but he escaped, and came back). Whitebeard re-ignited the era of pirates. Now things with Doffy, the marriage between the Vinsmock and Big Mom…the revolutionaries gaining advantage, though their base was destroyed, but given that there was no dead or capture news, we can assume that the revolutionaries are still out of the WG reach.
With all that said, with the upcoming events, Luffy potentially ruining the wedding/maybe bringing a Yonko alliance (first time ever) or bring her down, Kaido's war, I think the Government will HAVE to take a direct approach in resolving the pirate conflict, which is getting out of hand. Which would be closer to the final war. Maybe they are missing something to activate the Ancient Weapon they have in their possession. What are the chances of Oda developing a technique to destroy poneglyphs, would he add that as tension before Raftel?
I usually expect to be bashed because I come up with a lot of stupid ideas, but I like seeing people either tearing down the idea, or supporting it. (Though the best is when they hate on it, and they turn out to be Ceasar's fanboy for crewmates, everything has a balance I guess). I must admit, I do worry that my stupidity might cause me a ban.
