Since garp and dragon have real names that start with Monkey. D, then couldn't Gold D. Roger be his fake name and his real could be Monkey D. Roger? What do u guys think?

go watch the end of the skypiea arc. it's ingraved in gold poneglyphic writing, that he's name is Goldie Roger. and Gold D Roger was his full name, but apperently it wasn't used alot on his ship since he calls him self Goldie Roger.

As many have said Gol D. Roger or if you want it in the first name first type structure then I guess his name would be Roger D. Gol, hopefully not an indication by Oda that Roger is a Ghoul.

Ever thought that Gol D. Roger might not be directly connected to Luffy's family branch or that not all family member share Monkey
For example Portgas D. Ace doesn't have Monkey either and was far was we know he is Luffy's brother

I'm leaning towards thinking the whole Ds are a clan split into seperate bloodlines or families. Everyone in the clan is a family, reguardless of whether you are blood related or just accepted into the family one way or anothe (ie. adoptive).
I think Ace might turn out to be a case of someone accepted into the familyā¦ Its anothe rpossibly for his different name, that when he was accepted, they made his name that way.

Not really. Ace is a helluva lot smarter than Luffy, or at least that's how he comes off. Sure, he's narcoleptic, but that should have no bearing on your intelligence. Ace either changed his name to avoid marine issues, or is just a half-brother. I have a half-brother and sister with a different father, so they have a different last name. But to me, they're my brother and sister.

I've been organizing ONE PIECE the MUSICAL this week. We're coming along nicely. The guy in GREEN is Zolo, the girl reading is Nami, and the people in red are ALL LUFFY (we made him a dance troupe). Chopper is the black girl to the left (we didn't have a costume budget and we liked her breasts).This shall be a world shaking phenomena.

The Dragon stuff should be in spoilers.As for Gold Roger, it could be Gol D Roger, Goal D Roger or even Gaol D Roger. I personally like the last one, since it Gaol means "jail" and was also the name of a native american god of wind.

you are not alone, i don't want Luffy to be related to him either.
i don't see why people are suddenly questioning Gol D. Roger's nameā¦ it's not like we just knew him as Roger like we did we Dragon and had no idea what his real name was. We knew him as Gold Roger, and then we got the correction by Kureha that his name is actually Gol D. Roger. overspeculation seems to increase with big revelations like who Dragon really is.

I personally think that Monkey D. Is just like a branch of D's.... i dont know why Ace isnt a Monkey.. I personally think that Ace is a D but mabye a step brother or something, Because so far all D's have a big will power like Ace and not only that but he resembles luffy in looks and garp in attitude....
I do not think that Roger is directly related but probably like a cousin or uncle or something.. But I am a firm believer that all D's are related..
And not only this but I have a hunch that a female D will be introduced soon(probably luffys mom)

Wow, off-topic.While yes the possibility exists that his real name COULD be different, it does not seem likely and there are now no hints that support such a claim besides the pics comparing Roger and Dragon which could easily have been deviously planned by Oda.
It simply doesn't seem likely at this stage of the game because lying about Roger's name TWICE seemsā¦.well....strange and more than that, out of place for Oda. It's one thing to play with reader's trust but it's another to lie for no reason other than to pull a twist that isn't necessary.
I'm still in league with the belief that D is a name passed down to a great civilization of mixed people, the same civilization that Grand Line may have been. How and why I have NO idea but that seems like the best possible guess with what info we have now.
