Have an ancient weapon like Pluton and Poseidon or know where to get one?
Remember when he said about the coming of a New Age? What if his method of achieving it is by using an ancient weapon he has posseion or knowledge of?

I don't think that anyone has an ancient weapon right now but that the weapon is somewhere hidden (like on/under Raftel) where no one can get it right now. Otherwise the powers wouldn't be equal anymore and to be truthful the most poeple we got to know in One Piece and who could have the weapon won't hesitate to use (or threat someone) with it.

Now now, I wouldn't blow Don off like that. He must have a plan of some sort if he's planning a "New Age." Unlike Bellamy, he's the guy who started the plan in the first place. His speech after "killing" Bellamy gives me the impression that he'll be a threat in the future.
And I really doubt that some of the shichibukai are interesting in keeping the three sides equal. Like Crocodile, some of them must be looking for an edge.

You guys are forgetting something.
If the three powers must be kept equal, that mean that Shichibukai is as strong as the Marine HQ or the 4 Emperors.
BUT, the Marine HQ has ALOT of men, and the 4 Emperors too, and until proven wrong, from what we have seen so far, you have to leave your crew when becoming a Shichibukai.
So, those 7 men, those you "Fire Fist" Ace called "simple Shichibukai" must have the same strenght as hundreds of Marine men, maybe thousands, and probably the same amount of pirates on the Emperors side.
So, from the point of view I'm looking at it, Shichibukai is the strongest side if you look at the amount of men compared to their power.
One reason why any of these pirates became Shichibukai may have been that they didn't have strong enough men to fight the other Emperors or the Marine HQ, but otherwise, they are everything but "simple Shichibukai". -
From my point of view DoFlamingo works indirectly for Dragon, his new era and Dragon revolution are the same thing.

Hey, Bellamy had a 55 million and he went down to one punch. Numbers are numbers. He could've made up his bounty, possibly foreshadowed by Bellamy's laughing at Luffy's 100 million. Yes, 300,000,000 is impressive, but Enel would've had higher, I'm sure the 4 emperors do, and his power isn't invincible. He's dangerous because he can control people with the Suji Suji no Mi. But take that away, and he's a flamboyantly dressed weakling.

I don't like to name and pit characters against characters beforedhand, since Oda has a great way of mixing up the fight lineup.
Doflamingo doesn't seem like a revolutionary. He's got an attitude and disses people who dream big. He's a pure realist, not someone who wants to change how things are going, especially since his business was doing well when we first saw him.
Doflamingo is going to have to meet his fate at the hands of a D. Quite possibly Blackbeard would be the one to take Doflamingo out of the picture, allowing him to easily gain Doflamingo's position as a shichibukai. Though this is very conflicting, as nobody has taken Crocodile's spot yet either…

I think it was stated in one of the 432 spoilers, besides its common sense since the WG and shicibukais are allies, and the 4 emperors are the one left out in this "3 powers" -
Yea it said right in chapter 432, the shichibukia team up with the world government against the four emporers in the second half of the grand line.

Lol, if DeFlamingo turns out to be an arc villain, then we can almost safely assume that he'll be a lot stronger than Enel and even a lot stronger than Lucci, simply because he's the new arc villain. Of course you could be right: It is possible that he's just another weakling like Bellamy, but it could also be the absolute opposite.
And his 300 million could even be a total understatement as well, because his bounty was frozen the moment he joined the Shichibukai. I'm not saying that he's invincible or anything, simply because I cannot know. But the same goes for you. There is no evidence about his true power, strength or weaknes at all, except the fact that he had a Bounty of 300m. Which - as you said - says nothing XD
The only thing we can say for sure is that Luffy, in the end, will kick his ass if DeFlamingo gets into his way XD
