Yeah, ok I'm going to state my true opinion here, the bomb should of killed Pell. The fact is that the bomb did not kill him though.

Just stop revisiting about the whole issue since Pell was a minor character that was post to represent something for Vivi. If you let this whole issue take over your life, well you need a new hobby besides anime watching and manga reading.

For these timed things, I like to think that while the camera's on a group, the stuff other groups do during that time is shown afterwards, so really it's all happening at the same time. Thinking of it that way, the "race against time" in Arabasta was fine to me.

I find it funny that people always scream :OMG PELL IS NOT DEAD!!!WTF!!! when shaka litteraly came back from the dead after getting crocodiles hook in the chest , after merry being slashed by kuro and staying THE WHOLE DAMN NIGHT BLEEDING TO DEATH and still alive in the morning , gan forr getting zapped in the head , robin getting zapped in the head by ener , my favorite badass crocodile still alive after falling on HIS FRIGGIN HEAD from the sky.

The list can goes on…..the fact is that people in one piece are not humans , the only persons who dies are the no name characters who , by the way , are real humans in a world of superhumans .

None of that even remotely compares to Pell, and his lack of death ruined the entire scene because he wasn't sacrificing anything.

Actually, I'd put Gan Fall's "Death" on the same line as Pell, but his return was funny, so I forgave it.

Pell's return made no sense whatsoever, not to mention it was just unnecessary.

Off topic, but about your sig, there's a small problem I have with it. In the manga,

! when the crew finds out that Merman island is their next destination (that being, I assume, the place where Mermaids live) Nami still felt uncomfortable. Why would she be if they were two different species?

Useless? Pagaya fixed Nami's waver and saved Aisa from being eaten by the sea monsters of Skypea.

Well, maybe. But without Aisa, Luffy would never have found Enel, and thus he would, with Nami with him, destroyed Skypiea. So you see, despite how useless a character may be their actions can change the entire course of events.

So, if Pagaya didn't save Aisa from being eaten, well…you get the point.

No, Tonjit was the old guy from the Foxy arc. I don't really know her father's name. She just calls him "Papa" in the manga, and I don't remember if it's the same for the anime.

this has the potential to be great or horrible.

From the screens, it looks like the same quality animation as the original arc. IF they are going to condense like 50+ episodes into 2 hours, I want some high budget animation. XD

Im excited for this tho. THis arc is what started one piece on to being the great series it is today.

as for your argument. People with names dont die outside of flashbacks in one piece. Although we may not like it, this probobly wont change until the end.

but people without names die all the time, like in the alabasta revolution and the survival game. We just dont care. XD.

I dont stress over it tho. One piece is still One of the 2 shounen series I keep up with(the other being Hunter X Hunter) and, although by a slight margin, One piece is still my favorite of the 2, despite plenty of people dying in Hunter.

My point, If you hate or like one piece because characters dont die, find a new anime to watch, because your missing the point.

The trailers are just stock footage from the anime, I don't get why people aren't grasping that.

Actually, some of the footage in there did look new. None of the fighting stuff was but like Vivi praying and the straw hats turning around to look at the screen.

There's a new soundtrack ( http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=AVCA-26255 ) so there's definitely going to be new animation too. 21-Feb-2007 is the release date for the soundtrack. I should be able to import it and upload the tracks here like the past two years. The movie soundtracks are used in the tv show, though I wonder how oriental music will fit in Enies Lobby…

No, it's for the Alabasta movie. Don't mean it wont be used in the anime, cause it most likely will at a later time.

Most movie soundtracks were used in the anime series less than a month after their release. Though three of the last four movie soundtracks were used at the beginning of an arc (4 for Skypiea, 6 for Water Seven and 7 for Enies Lobby), the movie 5 soundtrack was used in the final fight vs Eneru and the third one in the final battle in Arabasta. So, I'm convinced we'll have some movie 8 tracks during Enies Lobby's last events or at least when they rest after the battle.

I can't believe I didn't notice the poster untill now. Chopper looks like Totoro, or something from Miyazaki.

Obviously, to squeeze a 30 (That's not including the fillers) episode long story arc into 90 minutes is gonna be a challenge. They'll probably start the movie with the crew arriving at Rainbase, and get rid of some characters to save time, like Mr. 3, Smoker and Tashigi. Instead of Luffy fighting Crocodile 3 times, I bet they'll just have them fight once in the underground tomb.

It's doable. Thought it's probably gonna remind me of the Escaflowne movie, which involved the same basic story, but had some plot changes.

I can't remember if I said this in here before but I suspect them showing a lot of recapping as the beginning credits play. And stuff happening at the end during the end credits. It's common sense the movie will end and the credits will start rolling the moment the Straw Hats and Vivi put up their X marked arms.

Quick comment looking at the new trailer: sort of find it interesting that amidst all the Alabasta footage, they used Saul for the part with Robin. Something tells me they may end up using some of her flashback during Enias Lobby when she talks about the "Will of D"…well now we know more about her.

Those fights with Croc made him such a cool character. I hope they keep those. They could probably shorten each fight to 2-3 minutes or 5 until the final Luffy vs Croc where it's 7-10.
