Well the first commerical for One Piece on Toonami was shown. They showed clips from the first three episodes and the intro. What's so disappointing is that Toonami can make any show look cool with their commericals, I remember the Cardcaptor Commercials. Too bad the dubs don't live up to the hype. I bet One Piece won't do good at all on Toonami. It'll either end up on Miguzi or weekday mornings at 6:00.

Cut footage sounds likely at this point. If they're doing an uncut release it's usually followed by a huge press event. That sucks. DB was also showed uncut for many years before it got a…...well I won't say it was decent but until it got a far less bastardized version.

Quick question, in the dub did they show the RED scratches on Zoro's face? I don't remember if they kept them in, I only remember the black ones.

I don't know, it might just do better..we never know… and if a series as horrible as Dragonball GT or even more...UGH..... Duel Masters can hold it's own on that time slot...I think the dub of One Piece will do the same...no matter how bad we think it is....

I saw one of the promos tonight. I've soured my boyfriend on the dub so much from just talking about it that even he was disgusted to see it. XD
I was thinking "why would they put this crappy dub on CN?" and then I watched Duel Masters and thought "oh…" -_-

Wha Peper Jack? The guy who said that was the host of Toonami. I've been thinkin… I wonder why exactly did One Piece get TWO episodes back to back on Toonami when sopposely the dub was'nt doin good in ratings..... I mean if it was doin THAT bad why would toonami even accept it? Especialy cause it's gettin rid of it's main show, Dragonball GT.....

OP Starts tommorow in the UK Toonami, and the trailors are annoying me now. Luffy shares the same voice actor as that little foot rag from YuGiOh… Mokuba or something like that.
I'll tell you guys about the cuts, I have seen a few of the dub downloaded so I will be able to make a comparison... if there is one to make.
Also, you gotta remember. Toonami have been looking for a long show to replace DBZ with for a while, and One Piece fits the bill. If they can increase the shows ratings (like they did with DBZ) then its back to the $$.

The guy who does the voice overs for the promos on CN was the voice of Optimus Prime on Transformers back in my childhood. I was going to marry him through most of grade school. ;) Anyway, his name's Peter Cullen and he's done TONS of stuff. I'm glad to hear he's still getting work, I like him. :)

I agree! I love classic Transformers. I think that Cullen has sworm off doing voices for cartoon characters. Yet he doesn't have a problem with doing promos for them. :blink: You guys know there's a live action/CGI transformers movie coming out by the people who made X-Men? :mellow:

Well since the show is on Cartoon Network now it has a better chance on becoming more known here in the states…and I know the dub is not good, but other shows don't have a good dub and they do just fine in ratings, so saying One Piece is'nt popular at all because of the dub is not ENTIRELY true...

Well they're at least making an effort by showing the first two episodes, rather than just one. The first ep is kind of a drag, no matter how you look at it.
Although those promos were…well on the bright side, it's unlikely they'll use the OP gangsta rap on CN.
