Pfff, West Coast West Coast West Coast. Maybe you hippies should put down the pipes and get moving on that legislation. You can't let Washington carry you forever.
Oh snap no he didn't!

You really think that your cold, stale Italian leftovers can match up to what we STILL got comin' in hot?
Can your mouth even handle somethin' as spicy as what we got, after livin' in a place where it actually goes below freezing?
That's right, I'm talkin' TACOS, I'm talkin' TORTAS, I'm talkin' FLAUTAS, TAQUITOS, BURRITOS, NACHOS, EN-CHI-LADAS~!
Your food is probably somewhere around Tide clean detergent in terms of excitement.
I really don't get Americans.

Hey, hey, hey, don't bring New Mexico into this.
I really don't get Americans.
Does your country not have regional rivalries? ..
Edit: LOLLLLL, i was about to joke about "waht are you, from Singapore?", but I forgot that yes that's exactly where you're from ahaha
This isn't American hon, this is a matter of size.
Even on Cyprus Chrissie mentioned how the different cities have their stereotypes and make fun of eachother.
But if your country is the world's last city state I guess it must seem pretty strange lol.
It's too small to have regions. Unless you count neighborhood blocks. :D

Haha XD In the moment I was more bewildered by the way you and Crystal were talkin, but still, yeah. It's pretty interesting to look at all this and try to wrap my head around it. It took me a long time to properly register that it's a thing for different states to make fun of each other; initially I just went "but you all live in the same _place_".

This is actually accurate. You guys would probably feel intensely claustrophobic here :D I can get from one end of my country to the other in about 3-4 hours max. By public transport.

It's all in good fun.
New England is a rival FOR social progressiveness, rather than someplace like Mississippi,
which has been against that very concept since its inception (by white colonizers).
Now, someplace like Texas, now THAT'S confusing. Because it's like, Redneck Desert, right?
But in the MIDDLE of Redneck Desert, there's this glimmering oasis that rivals even Dress Rosa.
It's a tiny microcosm of music, food, and girls in an otherwise horrible place. America is complicated.
Well the obvious answer is to cut off that oasis and allow it to flourish on its own. Let the rest of America rot.
Speaking of similarties not mattering in making other people seem alien, I had the most American moment ever on the train to Newark when I was headed to Cyprus.
I found a spot on the train in a booth next to an asian chick and across from her an indian girl, so with me the white guy. All of us like the same young 20's age group.
And we were all sitting minding our own business and not giving a damn.
Anyway across the aisle was an old white couple. And the husband picked up his phone and starts talking with a British accent.
And all three of us turned and looked at him at the same time XD.
Well the obvious answer is to cut off that oasis and allow it to flourish on its own. Let the rest of America rot.
The East and West don't need to rot,
we just need to let Austin slowly subsume the Midwest until EVERYONE is into roller derby.

This is kind of interesting.

The homeless issue, which is bad and just getting worse. Austin is a great place to visit for a few days, but it would be much, much better to live outside of the city.

Ha, what do people think of the whole North Korea thing recently?
Ha, what do people think of the whole North Korea thing recently?
Can't say I'm surprised. Cult of Personality.
And LMAO at this comment:
No no no. The real reason is the US sponsored pie embargo. Cutting the glorious leader off from global pie supply, the poor lamb could well lose weight. This vicious and unprovoked act by the USA is tantamount to an act of war and the state of North Korea is fully within its rights to make a lot of threats that it has no chance of carrying out.
North Korea's pie supply must be restored at once. Steak and kidney, chicken ham and leak, and above all a good supply of pork pies must be made available to keep the glorious leader in good health. Only then can peace be restored.

I can't wait until the point where the religious right finally decouples itself from our nationalism. I wonder how far that point is from now.
Whenever it is, it'll be when the Republican Party ceases to be anything more than a regional party. Either the religious right will leave to form a new or coopt yet another party or they'll finally force out everybody but themselves. I'd almost put money on that happening by no later than 2017 if Clinton wins the Presidency in 2016.
Anyway:

I'm Baptist, and I'm sorry but Obama isn't that great of a President. Yes, he has done his fair share of good, don't get me wrong, but he's put us in more debt in his 5 years in office then any other President really. It's just getting ridiculous, shit isn't getting better. I don't think Clinton will do any better at all either, I really hate her views on things.
I just hate how people blame all Christians for not wanting Gay rights and what not. I get it, it's America, we ARE free. If they want to be gay, let them. Who are we to stop them. I just don't agree with the fact that they choose(or were born) to be gay. I won't hate them or look at them differently, just don't think being Gay is the right way. I won't bitch at them or try to change them. It's just that a lot of Christians are ignorant. It's sad. Makes us ALL look bad, when some people like me respect others decisions.

That's the problem, "some". The majority who are against equal rights are in fact religious zealots.
edit: Ninja'd by ubiq. lol
Wait, so do you think gays are born that way or do you think they choose to be gay?
I'm not really sure to be honest. That's why I'll respect them. If they really grew up always liking the same sex and could never like the opposite sex that way, then so be it. It doesn't matter to me if they chose to be that way or were born that way, it's just who they are. Why force them to hide the fact that they ARE that way?
Also, I have done checking about Obama. His money that he has spent wasn't wasted like someone like Bush's was, but he did spend more.

Fair enough, but to remove all doubt, simply ask a gay person whether or not they "chose" to be that way.

The point you're missing is majority of that number being propaganda'd in your head is not something his adminstration created. They have spent a fraction trying to fix the economy, compared to the necessary bills. It's like saying you're a dumb ass and deserve what you get because your dad died and you inheritated his 30 year fix morgage. Now you're desperately trying to pay it off while investing additional money for lawyers to get you out of it.
Fair enough, but to remove all doubt, simply ask a gay person whether or not they "chose" to be that way.
Well look at it this way, bi-curious people. Were they born gay? No. For a time they like women, but eventually experiment with a guy, and realize they like it better. They choose to change from being straight to gay. That was a choice.
Then you could have someone who always was that way. Ever since they were little they liked the same sex. Never the opposite.
So if you ask me, it could be both ways.
As for Obama, yeah statistics show good things. Yet, is America doing any better? Is his peace treaties and negotiations doing any good? Do other countries like us better because of him? Just look at North Korea. All this is going on while Obama pushes to limit America's home defense.

There's a distinction to be made between choosing to be bi, and discovering through experimentation that you do have a little thing for the same sex as well as the opposite sex.
Do other countries like us better because of him?
Ubiq, graph man!
It only shows up to 2009, and things are different since then. Also, you think that it went up all because of just Obama? There are other factors.

Look at my avatar, can you get an erection or sexual desire from it? Look at your dad, can you do the same? It's not a choice what your sexual preference is, you don't just rewire your brain, yet there's porn all over the internet to specifically serve these people.
What you're describing is more confusion than curiosity. When they feel that hormonal attraction to someone, who happens to be the same sex, is it because they are gay, or confusing the emotion? Maybe you have a bro crush or something.

It's common knowledge that if Romney would have won, the entire world would have sigh'd in dissapointment. The math/statistics are there, but now the made up assumptions you have aren't holding any water we jump to subjective opinions?
Christians mistake Cesar Chavez for Hugo Chavez:
Conservatives want to kill "gooks" because of a fictional movie:

I don't care if they were born that way or think that way, it's just who they are and I can respect that. Don't agree with them, but won't fight with them or hate them. My best friend could be gay I wouldn't care.
Yes, my opinion is we shouldn't lower home defenses. We have several countries, who despite what Obama does or says, still push for nuclear power. North Korea for instance. You don't think if they had the opportunity they wouldn't nuke us? They wouldn't start a war for the sake of war? They would and they might. We shouldn't be shoving troops out there, but we also shouldn't lower our own defenses for Gods sake.

The thing with this is, I think you're conflating two different issues. There is the matter of actions, and the matter of wants, or desires, or however else you wish to phrase it.
The 'act' of being gay, that is to say, actually physically having sexual relations with a member of the same gender, is of course a choice. I don't feel that should really be a matter of debate, unless one wished to get into issues of free will, or the lack thereof. So, in your example, it was their choice to experiment with other men, and to ultimately stick with that.
However, being gay is generally, and quite rightly, defined not by actions, but simply by preference. A man who ends up celibate for his entire life could just as easily consider himself gay as straight, after all. In these terms – defining orientation by what one is attracted by -- there is no choice. Even in your example, while you could say the man chose to experiment, he did not 'choose' to find being with other men more enjoyable. He simply did. In that sense, then, saying that someone 'chooses' to be gay would be akin to saying someone 'chooses' to prefer chocolate ice cream to vanilla, or 'chooses' for blue to be their favorite color, or absolutely anything else like that; it is an absurdity.
Not that that necessarily means they are born that way, but regardless, I feel to call it a 'choice' is simply horribly off base.
I don't care if they were born that way or think that way, it's just who they are and I can respect that. Don't agree with them, but won't fight with them or hate them. My best friend could be gay I wouldn't care.
I don't care what you think, you stated your opinion which doesn't make any sense, and I refuted it. How you personally feel about is irrelevant, even if it's wrong.
Yes, my opinion is we shouldn't lower home defenses.
I honestly don't think you understand what is actually being cut from homeland security. Hint, it's not litteral security.
We have several countries, who despite what Obama does or says, still push for nuclear power. North Korea for instance.
This isn't a president issue, it's a country issue. They don't like America, but they did, and many, hated the Bush squad. Have you seen an assassinate attempt towards Obama? A shoe thrown at him? Nope. But please, enlighten us who are ignorant of what we can do about North Korea who is crying for attention? That another president could easily forsee.
You don't think if they had the opportunity they wouldn't nuke us? They wouldn't start a war for the sake of war? They would and they might. We shouldn't be shoving troops out there, but we also shouldn't lower our own defenses for Gods sake.
This seals it, you have no idea what the hell you're talking about. We have BASES in south korea, we just did a TRAINING exercise to piss them off, you really think Obama is trying to strip our military? Maybe you'd like to comment on the luxery bases throughout europe which cost 10x more than is actually necessary? Some even funded when the base has no purpose.
Jesus christ fox news ate you up and spit you out.
Let's not get too acerbic here, guys, he seems fairly reasonable.
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/02/us/prosecutors-seek-death-penalty-against-james-holmes.html?_r=0
Awful, awful. Fuck the death penalty, this should went out like the Jared Loughner case–no trial, accept the plead of guilty and sentence him with life, no parole in solidarity confinement.
I realize the death toll is greater then Tuscon, but fuck me.........
Now all they'll do is drag this thing. It's gonna be a long, long process and even if he does get the death penalty it won't be for ten to 20 years. The Prosecution is making a mistake.

I hate to sound ignorant and might sound like a bit of an ass. I just don't get how we, as humans, who were born to reproduce and create more of our own kind with the opposite sex, can just be born liking the same sex. Is it because of mental abilities have taken over the natural order of life? Do you understand where I'm coming from? To me, love is between a man and a women. The act of sexual intercourse during love, feeling the opposites sexes smooth skin and different body type as you explore one another. It's magical. Then you can have children, your own flesh and blood, who will grow and carry on your name. It's just how love, and life, is meant to be. To me, a male loving a male isn't natural and I just can't bring myself to agree with it no matter what. The sexual intercourse isn't natural and isn't right, their is no opposite sex organ to make love with, it's just not natural love.
Like I said, this is my opinion and I'm not forcing gays to not be gay. I'm just saying I dislike growing up in this world where more and more gays are common to the point of where it's like, there HAS to be gays. It's so bad now that TV shows and movies feel like they have to have at least one gay in the show/movie or they are considered "unfair" or "biased". I forget the name of the show but they didn't have any gays in it and got shit for it, like really? I go many days without seeing a gay person. Or even knowing if they are gay or not. People take it too seriously. If the creator of that show wants one of the people to be gay, then let him do that. Just because the creator didn't want to have a gay in the show he gets shit for it? Wish I could remember the name of the show, I guess a quick Google search would help but if I remember correctly they guy had to hire a new character in the show that was gay. That's just beat to me. Sorry.
As for Khainiwest I don't feel like arguing with someone who believes one news channel over another. Fox, CBS, and of that shit can kiss my ass. Media is bullshit. I'd rather believe something like this for instance
Then to believe Fox. Yes truth is I've been slacking and the Presidential research and what not. I stopped caring about politics, because either way shits just going to be bad. If Romney won shit would still be this way. I still don't agree with how Obama looks at things and acts on things.
