I know some of the members here do, but as a question. Do you have your own Manga series? I am planning one in words, aswell as learning to adapt to the Anime/Manga drawing style so I can start the manga when I am ready.
If possible, post your images/chapters from your storyline.
I do have my own manga, but it's more like a comic with the manga art style. I finally got a scanner, so my stuff should be up soon.
About five years ago me and my friends got a bunch of people together and made a fanzine called "Manga World". It was like a version of Shonen Jump where american artits drew their own manga. It ran from 2000 to December 2003, and came out bi-monthly. We put our own articles, anime and manga reviews and manga in it. There were 10 manga running in it at one time and we had 7 artists and one artist team. I had two in the 'zine that ran simultaneously until we ended it (We ran out of money for printing, papaer, supplies and etc.). The manga I did were called "Vampire Knight" (obviously about Vampires) and "Electric!!" (Inspired by Umezawa Haruto's Bremen and about a band trying to make it but they had special attacks named after rock songs. Examples: "Hell's Bells" which was a fire move, "Thunderstruck"which was a lightning move and a hypnosis technique called "Enter Sandman" among others. Pretty clever huh.)
I kept a copy of every issue and since Blade wants some scans posted i'll try my best to get some raws up by the end of the week. (My scanners broke and it's getting fixed right now.)

got a car for his b-day and he met with the King of Rides to recieve a special power to defend himself (super speed).
On the way he meets ppl for his gang of riders cuz he promised the King to go return stolen powers.

I have my own series called: Lost in a poem
the series is split into two parts:
The first half of the series is to introduce the 6 main charecter through differn't arcs.While the main storyline is about jack seed trying to find the killer of his parents who is the were wolf named gale.
The second half happens about 5 yrs later and the 5 towers have been stripped of the ancient sphere's and were replaced by black sphere's the "hero's" have to put the colored sphere's back before the poems are released.While this is happening a cult called: the 8th house A.K.A god's children are trying to reserect the 6th tower witch holds the destruction of the world named: ashken.
This series will have roughly 30 volumes with 300 chapters
so far i have only finished 6 1/2 chapters

Well they do all the travelling in a car and they've been in like 2 or 3 races with over enemies. Rught now that im typing this, in the series,
they are in Serka town and they are going agaisnt this guy named
general T. Cabara. (he was supposed to kill chases father years back but Vince lured him to the Road Ember expedition). So Cabara just goes after Chase cuz theres some Sasaki blood in him.
The first car was able to fit 5 ppl but after having the car blown up Dry's father (King Rum on Rum Kingdom, gave the Bolt Riders, Chases' dads bigger and more enhanched car to ride around with. Lol its like a huge moble home!
But the theme is like on the road and adventuring to be a tuff rider.

I have my own comic… I started making comics really because of my brother(tony tony chopper).
Its called Dark... :mellow:
Its about a guy named Dark.Dark was a slave in a place called Faln's (Fall-ns)tower. The leader of the tower is Faln.Dark was a prisoner for 5 years.Then an explosion happened in the tower. It made a hole in the wall. Dark jumped out and escaped. From that day Dark was gonna train comeback and defeat Faln. So he's out training now traveling from place to place fighting people and meeting people that join him right now Dark has 3 other people(soon to be four)

I have a ton of series I'm working on, though I was thinking of making one of my current ideas available to the general public (ie - I'd actually show it off instead of keeping it to myself for once)
It's called The Unluckies, who are three people: Rum, Quil and Jack Daniels. Anyone who meets them would think they're the luckiest people ever at first - Rum knows everything, Quil can do anything, and Jack is both at once.
Therein lies the problem of why they are the Unluckies. The world government knows that if these three ever got together, they could pretty much have their way with society, and so they always chase Rum and Quil in order to stop it from happening. (Jack is a lost cause, since, knowing everything and being able to do anything, he's literally made himself impossible to find.) Obviously Rum and Quil know they're being hunted down, but they want to find Jack so that they can stop the government.
Since both Rum and Quil's powers are somewhat limited, they can't just do everything instantly, and so they travel along to fetch people who can do the things they need to get farther, thus enlightening people and spreading their thoughts and stuff like that.
I haven't exactly thought of an ending or anything - my main intention with Unluckies was to explore literary elements and get a solid grasp on them as part of more intensive study of English literature, not really to present any huge OMG GOVERNMETN HAET!!!1 message; it just kind of turned into that. I don't really have an idea of drawing it, though I've done character sketches…

t easy to read through because of the way it is set up, but a little of perseverance and its fine.
I like GEPPETOSMONSTER's Lost in a Poem manga. Everyone says it lokks Togahi-ish and it does but for some reason it also has a hint of a Jhonen Vasquez (Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, Invader Zim) style too. I like it. Good work. I didn't get my scanner fixed yet so you'll all have to wait for some scans of "Electric!!" and "Vampyre Knight" just a bit longer. I promise it will be worth the wait. If you love Umezawa Haruto and Kubo Tite's art style, you'll really love these mangas.

Im thinking of entering in the next Rising Stars of Manga Contest. The people who win, though I will give them credit where credit is due, all seem to not have good art skills. They make a lot of their charchters real blocky and they over use screentones, and in doing so, make their manga look like a big greyed over colored page (Like in the One Piece GNs where all the color pages look like they are over shaded because they're covered with a grey ink.) I personally think that screentones should be kept to a minimalism and any good visual effects should be done by the pen, not computers or toning.

Yeah, his art was rather good. Also the guy who entered in RSOM and won with Atomic King Daidogon was really good too.

I still gotta work on my drawings… but this isnt my permanent work. This is kinda a rough draft so when i'm older everything is already done and we just need to re-draw it and add a few stuff. I started volume 20
2 days ago and its coming along quite well. I have this idea book that has 4 ppages of Road Ember titles and I've finally finished one page of volumes (front and back) so theres 19 volumnes per page.
What really excites me is when the Bolt Riders go to
"The Region of Palms" and they plan on having a vacation but these two guys named Coconut and Mango come in they force the Bolts to leave the region or they'll be killed. Cuz Coconut and Mango are waiting for the special fiesta so they can set fire and burn all the tourists.
So the Bolts all split up (2 ppl each group) and they find Coconut and Mango in different places. For example Chase and Dry battle them on a Roller Coaster. And @ the last 3 chapters, Coconut and Mango fuse! And the chapter is called Fruit Punch :P. They also later get onto a Magnet Train and stuff. I have it all written down in a book :)

Well now I'm on the concept art of my series and I renamed it form Culture Shock to Lovely.
If you haven't read the thread my story is about a girl who lives in Japan who is obsessed with western culture (more particularly the US). The girl even has an aunt over in the states that she would really like to visit. Unfortunately her parents arenâ€t to fond of their daughterâ€s dreams and think sheâ€s loosing her heritage. They say she should be a traditional girl and get rid of such foolish thoughts. Her fellow schoolmates might as well agree with her folks too, especially the most popular girls in her school who call her an American wannabe. Well I wont tell you how she does it and what leads up to this point but she does get to the US, and man how its different.
This manga shows the contrast the Japanese school and life with its American counter part and also what is always the same no matter where you go in the world.
I'v notced that manga characters are way too skiny so my main character is on the chunky side. (cute huh)
Iâ€ll post some concept art starting tomorrow and you guys can pick and choose the ones you like the most.

i love it. reminds me a lot of dbz. i just had a few problems. make your main character more intersting,all your other character are great so make him better. hes missing something. have him have his shrit or pants inked or something. also when your doing hair ink the line more so we can see it better, your main character looks bald, but i like this manga. did you do that chapter in the 3 grade or did you re do it. by the how old are you. just wonderin.

hell yes….......ive been trying to draw my own manga and my art skills suck..... i cant draw girls...........i only draw 4 figures on my ppl cuz its easier, but i still can't draw hand.s. also i hate drawing backgrounds im the worst person when it comes to drawing 3d shapes.

Well, I plan on devoting a lot of time soon to working on my drawing skills… I have something all planned out that I've been writing parts of and thinking up for about the past year that I'm quite proud of. I just need to het my hands busy and work on anatomy and such.

my story is called Myitar. myitar is a magical staone that gives ultimate power to the 1 who uses it. there is also a war betwwen humans and demons. The demons destroy and take over countless villages trying to look for the Myitar.
My main character, Matthois, goes on a journey to find the Myitar with Sakura to try to stop the demon war(that's why he wants the myitar)
along the way they battle demons and stuff. My first "saga" is where Matthois and Sakura go to find Yashi, an aura mater. Aura is kinda like chi and chakra and all those energy attacks out there. Ive only worked on this story a little bit. I have the first chapter written out. I have 22 pages on my first chapter, and ive drawn 8 so far.
