ill say a draw because both wont fall untill the other falls. in logic it should be zoro because swords are better then bare hands but luffy doesnt give a shit about getting injured so ill say a draw

Yeah, I´m agree with this opinion. Each of StrawHats have good points and bad points so it´s difficult make a decision of this type.
-
Luffy can take more damage than Zoro, but Zoro can deal more damage than Luffy..
-
I honestly hope we never find out. :P Too depressing to think about.
-
Well if Zoro can cut steel, he could cut rubber pretty easily, right?
-
They´re both the strongest of the crew and I also say it´d be a draw.
-
I'd say Luffy would defineitly win for sure, sure zoro has three swords, but do you guys honestly think that Zoro could have taken down all the apponents luffy has, I don't think so. :)
Besides i don't think that was a serious fight. They probably just wanted to give each other a good beating :o
-
Well I would say it's a draw because Luffy has the power of the devil fruit on his side but Luffy also said his weakness was blades, which Zoro has three.

**sorry but what your saying is childish. if luffy beats a arlong and zoro defeats luffy does that mean zoro can defeat arlong…. NO each figth is a different fight.
battl franky i agree with you

Definetely Luffy. The man who smiles before death, just like Roger did around 20 years in the past. We got a taste of their fight during Whiskey Peak and I'm pretty sure our future pirate king could've pulled through. He is the protagonist, after all, and I'm sure Oda wouldn't have let him lose so easily to a first mate.
-
zoro laughed at death when mihawk wanted to slice him but at the end they well never fight

zoro wins!!
because luffy fears" knife-attack"!
-
Luffy is not afraid of it …did you watch in anime ?he was really mad and fought with zoro with real hearted ,and he doesn't feel anything .. Zoro was also cant do much on luffy ,Luffy and zoro fight will be draw ...
-
en …....
I am not good at english..
op anime I watched little.
he fears ~斩击~!
right ?
when Luffy not mad.. -
you think ,luffy is gonna fight and he's not mad? if he's mad,he afraid nothing …you should think .... both of them mad and fight ,don't say that ,they fight with not mad .. if they really fight,it must cause something serious ...that why they fight ..ok? if Luffy is mad ,he afraid nothing .... you should know it
-
Starlight luffy fights to the death. thats what you ment right, if so then zoro is the same, but hey different people have different opinion :D

Right :D
-
Hey but Zoro got more powerful techniques than Luffy plus Zoro has the power to cut steel so, I guess Zoro is stronger
-
hey man zoro is tough but they fought twice first was a draw second fight zoro had the advantage but came out as a draw so its a draw as far as we know but since luffy is the captian dont you think its wiered having a subordinate who is tougher then you
-
it would be interesting if luffy and zoro fought again cause zoro improved so much since last time they fought.it wasnt really that long of a fight though. But it would be cooool
-
You know, Luffy and Zoro fought before and it was always a draw, so I think whenever they would fight it would be a draw… :)
-
didnt they fight at the the island with a lot cactuses or something and luffy thought zoro killed the townspeople?
-
They fought at Whiskey Peak it was a draw, so they would probably draw again
-
Someone shoot me now.
I'll let this slide, since it's been a while since the last one of these stupid things… But consider yourself enlightened: Please, no more vs. threads. It's annoying as friggin' hell.
-
Well, actually… Nami sort of decided it was a draw for them.
-
their fighting styles are really different. Luffy is a power fighter, with a weird ability and some attacks with odd effects involving grappling and, yes, power. Zoro is a pure speed and cutting power fighter with better reactions, but without as much scope to his ability.
and VS threads rock when the debates get going. just when people don't give much reasons to their posts it gets annoying.
Luffy was lucky then that they were close range smashing each other. If Luffy done an arm extend move and Zoro was bent on killing Luffy, he'd detect an opening and cut before Luffy could react. Better question - Who'd win if it was Zoro and Sanji vs Luffy and Chopper? They all fight in their own ways, even if most of them but Zoro are power fighters at heart. It'd be an interesting fight
-
yea but luffy could hit zoro from far away and zoro can attack only in close range but yea they are both monters
-
i think zoro also fought luffy during that filler when they were trying to get their memory back.
-
I would say it would simly end in a draw. I'm a bigger fan of Luffy than I am of Zoro but I'm going to be realistic about this in the sense of comparing their overall combat power.
-
If I am not mistaken what makes a good cap. is leadership qualities, Luffy knew his weakness was swords and knives, thats why he got Zoro to join his crew. Zoro even said he knew what it took to be cap. when Usopp left. That being said I don't think its weird to have a subordinate that is stronger than you. Though with Luffy's ability to improvise in battle and resiliance to attacks and Zoro's brute strength I would call it a draw.
-
I don't doubt zoro would win.. swords vs no weapons and all..
-
I say it would be a draw. They're both at pretty much the same level of strength, they both have a variety of powerful attacks and they both have good motivation when it comes to not losing a fight. Besides, they have similar goals and they must become very strong to fufill them. If you want more good reasons:
Round 1: Whiskey Peak arc - draw
Round 2: Alabasta arc - draw
Round 3: Lost Memory filler arc - let's say it was a draw -
When did they fight in Alabasta?

When did they fight in Alabasta?
It was in episode 102. Luffy was hallucinating and, while delirious, he thought Zoro was Crocodile. He attacked Zoro and then they started exchanging punches. They both hit themselves at the same time and knocked themselves out. Later, Chopper woke up and saw them laying in the sand in the same position as before.

I just had to revive this dead topic to say: ZORO HAS A CANNON WITH HIM REMEMBER? :P
