URGENT REPORT!!!

This is a very important piece of news, so it needs to have attention brought to it. As sudden as this is to both you and us at ADC, Laeliel has made her decision to relinquish her position as translator of the group. Due to these unforseen changes of the situation, we are now left without a Japanese to English translator.

If you, or anyone you know, would be able to fill this position, please feel more than free to email both myself at wickio@hotmail.com and Rhombus, at rhombusaurus@hotmail.com with the topic header: ADC Translator Position. Until the position is filled, we will be unable to make any releases, so please, if you or anyone you know could help, stand up to the good cause, and carry on the legacy!

We all wish Laeliel the best in whatever she carries on to do, and hope you all appreciated her work.

I have nothing against Laeliel for leaving, but this is a setback for people waiting for the current episodes to be subbed. Hopefully, someone will step up and help out.

I'm quite sadden by this sudden loss of a fine translator.. because it will be very surprising if a release can be made this week. Fingers are crossed and prayers uttered for someone to step in and fill the spot.. because for the rest of us OP fans.. who don't hear or understand Japanese that well….it is sad..

Well, I survived the 4 weeks for the rest of Robin'f flashback. I can wait for a bunch of repeat fillers. I'm sure ADC will find someone. We will all be looking for them. ^_^

My guess is that its a more important personal reason. Her timing to change now is good too, imagine if she decided to call it quits a month from now.

Laillel did great, lets hope that her successor is as talented as her. I am sure there are alot of eligible people out there

As for my reasons… It has nothing to do with whiners at all (one of them suscribed me to some newsletter which sends 20 messages to my mailbox a day, under the sweet name of "FAT WHORE" xD)

It's a personnal decision to move onto something else, get my two feet back on earth and turn the page. ADC's inner stuff is a big soap opera, I feel like I spent more time trying to solve quarrels between two certain members than actually translating. So yea... Wanna have more time to study, get a job, think about something else than stuff happening on the net turning around an anime I'm not certain I like translating anymore x_x I just want to have a bit more time to 'live'. I'm not sure if you'll understand what I mean and it might sound like a childish, worthless reason to some but that's just how it is. I didn't decide this over a night, I had told Wickio about month ago that someday I'd just say goodbye and take my leave.

Man I would so look into the IP address that got signed up and bomb'em. Somebody did something to me like that once (under the name "dumbass" instead) and it took a lot of work to get off all those damn lists.
Anyway, thanks for serving the community for the time that you had, and I hope you move on to greater things.

Whoah. I totally Understand. Your not getting paid to do this. What comitment do you have. Your presence will be missed, but I hope you enjoy the new pages of your life that you are turning. (how exciting) I guess if ADC finds no one, then we'll all just have to learn japanese. (bout time we got off our asses, right.) Either that, or I'll go back to HK subs.

**Baaaka, of course it's not a childish or worthless reason. You chose to do this and you can stop this if you want to. It's not like you have any obligation to continue translating. So go and enjoy the goodness of life. It's much more important than an anime.

I can live without OP for a while. We're lucky to be able to read/watch such a series at all. We even get the liberty of a subbed anime. I can wait.**

Hahaha, good one. Yeah, still though, this is a tough situation. I have have nearly no knowledge in japanese or translating–but is finding a translator hard? i've seen few people on this board who understand japanese to the point they can translate it--the few being the guys who translate the mangas of course.

you dont need the installation CD

just go to start > control panel > Regional And Language Options > Languages tab> check the box "Install files for east asian languages"

but suggestion for the future, maybe get two translators, that way the work load is split and it isnt so much stress for one person

Ha, it's kinda an odd coincidence that ADC loses their translator JUST as I caught up with the series!

I've emailed to offer my translatey services but no response yet. XD I'd love to help out though.

Er, do you guys use a text script or do ya do it by ear?

Text script? Can I laugh? =P We work with the raw and only the raw. You'll receive a timed script you open in aegisub… then you open the nice lil raw in there too, you click on the lines, listen to what they say, write it back in english, and then have fun doing this for a couple of hours before sending the script to wickio. Oh well... Have a look dear, this is what awaits you for the couple next months if you decide to become the new TL Here.

If you have it, you could look at the raw manga. Most of the time much of the script doesn't change. I actually use it so I can translate ahead of where the anime is, or if I don't feel like pausing after every sentence to translate. XD Just another suggestion, though. And it doesn't work for filler eps, or eps where they start adding filler scenes, and there's almost always a few lines added or removed… but it's pretty accurate most of the time.

Oh, yeah, that must've sucked. I've actually got all the books, plus raws on the computer from 389 onward. It really is a big help, especially since I like doing all my translation at night, when my family's asleep… That way I don't wake 'em 'cuz of the volume I have to play the eps at to make sure I don't miss a line. XD
