Somebody please riddle me this. In Chopper´s flashback we find out that Kuleha and Hiruluk (sp?) are the only two doctor´s who are left at Drum. Then could someone please tell me who the Blackbeard and his men took away. I mean they took all the doctor´s, but Kuleha is still there, the 20 guys are still with Wapol and Hiruluk died years ago so who did they take? Ah, my head hurts again.

They did not take any docters. Wapol took them himself while Hiruluk was dead at that time an Dr. Kuraha was in hiding

I thought Wapol exiled every other Doctor who wasn't apart of his Isshi-20? I don't think Blackbeard's crew took any Doctors with them, they just sacked the kingdom & left.

[snapback]26324[/snapback]Hmm, now I´m really curious as what Dalton originally says. In both the german Manga and Anime it is clearly said that Blackbeard took all the doctors with him. But it just somehow doesn´t make sense. If he says something comletely different originally then I guess the german translators were at it again.

in my mandarin translation it clearly says that Wapol exiled all the doctors except Doctor-20, and Dr. Kuleha and Hiruluk (who then died)
Blackbeard came along, merely destroyed the country, and left

Wapol exiled all the doctors and fled with his Isshi 20 when Blackbeard invaded.
It sounds like the German translators tried to tone down the seriousness of the arc by saying the King didn't kill/exile the doctors, but instead Blackbeard took them all away.
sigh Jus shows that you can't trust a translation from a company paid for their work. The best stuff is always done for free by the fans.

Yes, he exiled all the doctors in the Drum Kingdom & took on his own group of specialists to his castle. Basically to tighten his grip on the people, so noone would ever oppose him. If people were sick they'd have to throw themselves at his feet & swear loyalty to his rule.

OK I just checked both the german manga and the anime and I have to admit that there is no translation mistake after all. It was complete and total misunderstanding from my site. Damn I feel stupid now. I guess we can close this thread now that it is proven that it was senseless. Sorry guys. :unsure:
