ok, so its been noticed before that whitebeard's oxygen tanks have doflamingo's symbol on them, minus the slash through it. this leads a lot of people to believe that doflamingo was once part of whitebeard's crew. ive thought about this, and come up with a theory. maybe blackbeard DIDNT kill his crewmates on purpose, what if DoFlamingo forced him to do it for some reason? doflamingo has the power to manipulate people, after all. however, whitebeard (and Ace) never found out about doflamingo, which is why ace is chasing blackbeard. and maybe the reason why Blackbeard wants to join the shichibukai is to get revenge on doflamingo? i think there is a possibility. while this theory is most likely wrong, i just wanted to get it out there.
A theory on Whitebeard, Blackbeard, and Doflamingo

I wouldnt be suprised if the first part was true, about don flamingo being a former member of white beard's crew.
DOnt think he forced blackbeard to do anything.
Look at Buggy and Shanks, they both was soldiers on another crew and eventually they branched out on there own.
Like in real life, there was one main gang than alot of people broke away and started there own factions.

I disagree. I've said for a long time that Blackbeard just didn't strike me as evil. This is the first theory so far that explains that in a satisfactory manner. It sounds viable to me.

IIRC, didn't Blackbeard and his crew destroy Drum?
And as to the theory…It sounds to farfetched for even Oda.
I mean Flamingo would have just gotten membership into the Shichibukai It this theory is correct. Which sounds crazy. And why would he have to join the Shichibukai to get his revenge? He was right there in the same town as Doflamingo crew...Why not wait for him and off him right then and there? -

First of, with Oda you never know. And think about luffys past and all small hints that Oda has given us. So never say never.

Oh and for that matter, ever tought of that blackbeard never knew that flamingo would come to the town or that he allready was in the town?
As for the matter Blackbeard whent to hunt for SH also. So the theory can much likely be true and yet not. Thats the way of Oda giving alot of thinking. -

Thats the way of Oda giving alot of thinking. That still no reason to want to become a Shichibukai solely for revenge. Thats insane. There are other ways to go about it. and from Don 's reaction to Laffie he didn't seem worried at all when Laffie mentioned him. In fact he encouraged Sengoku to give him a shot at becoming a Shichbukai. Do you think Don would be encouraging someone to make the man after his head his colleague?

Probably, if he wasn't afraid. I mean, if I ate a puppetry devil fruit that let me control people, I wouldn't be afraid of much. I mean, he did have Sarquiss mutilate - if not kill - Bellamy in cold blood.
Still, I don't think that was the case. Blackbeard had his reasons for killing some nameless dude. But I do think it's possible that Doflamingo was affiliated with Whitebeard at some point. The flamboyant way Whitebeard's nurses dress mimics the style of Doflamingo himself.
I agree with Voodzik. Blackbeard's not a bad guy, he's just misunderstood. Wapol was corrupt, right? So chasing him off was doing the people a favor, really. If you look at it in that sense, Luffy was corrupt for completely overthrowing Wapol. Not the case, right?
Personally, I think Shanks and Blackbeard are related, maybe cousins or even brothers. This would explain why Shanks wants amnesty. Or maybe Shanks simply realizes what the D means, and to hunt a D is to create problems. Either way, it is suspicious.

I tought the fruit was something about the bones, meaning that he can move the people bones, not mind controling stuff.
-
Notice the thing he does with his hands. It's exactly how a puppeteer would manipulate a control stick for a marionette.
It's implied that his devil fruit is not mind control, but more like a puppetmaster devil fruit that lets him control people. Mind Control has the person in full compliance with their actions. Everyone he's done it to so far was attempting (and failing) to resist his control.

from chapter 234…... before the meeting of the Shichibukai and Marines start..... -
I still like the idea that it's some kind of string fruit paramecia (somebody else's idea) and that's how he puppets people. It'd also have other applications of course.

back to the topic….
I don't think there is a connection between Don, Blackbeard and whitebeard....
Blackbeard and Whitebeard yes.... but not Don......
