I just started to watch this series on the only Romanian channel the has anime. At the moment it is the best series on the channel, which is not that hard, because it airs right after Cubix.
Anyway has anybody watched this series, i just love the characters and the story. The last episode i watched was when Hong Kong was destroyed so please no big spoilers.
PS: I haven't see the OVA.

I've only seen the OVA, and fail to see what the huge deal is with this show. Fun concept, maybe the manga or tv series are better.

I keep getting mixed-messages with this show. I hear it's full of fanservice and sex (ugh) but then I look at the actual volume and it's something like a "T" rated shounen. So, what's the deal?

All in all, the concept doesn't seem that interesting. A bit weird, in fact, and unappealing. Coming from a Brit-o-phile like myself, well, I suppose that means nothing. o.o

I loved the OVA. It's not particularly deep on plot, but it had impressive animation, great action, and plenty of "Whoa, awesome!" moments. Basically, it's a popcorn flick: something you watch when you want to kill a couple hours with something fun.
The TV series, on the other hand, sacrificed a lot of this entertainment value to expand the story quite a bit. The problem was that what the series gained for this sacrifice just…wasn't really worth it. The plot was nothing all that impressive, dragging on across far too many episodes, and the new cast was, for the most part, pretty weak in terms of character (there was one character, for that matter, whose sole purpose within the plot seemed to be constantly switching sides between the good guys and the bad guys, and, in doing so, dragging the story out even further), while the old characters who reappeared were shadows of their former selves. All this was at the cost of the cheap thrills and fun that made the OVA a decent watch, so the TV series doesn't really have a lot going for it.
As for the manga, I only read the first couple chapters, but found it pretty unimpressive, personally...

Watched both the OVA and the TV.
I got interested in it from watching images and reading about the OVA, but I didn't know it was the OVA. I downloaded the TV and watched it and it was really nice. Then I watched the OVA which was nice too.
I don't really remember how nice both of them were to be able to compare them though.
