So, i'm asking, how many times do you read a chapter, from the moment when it's out to the moment when a translation is available somewhere?
for me, it's about 10-15 times i think… and i don't understand written japanese at all!

Well if you do not know Japanese, it is not reading….it is more like looking at pictures XD!!! But for me I guess I read it 2-4 times
Generally about three times before the notes come out. Once with the notes and then twice again when the translation hits. I'll also refer back to it while reading the discussion as needed.
I glance over the raw once or twice. Then when a translations done, I read it again slowly. Finally when the scanlation is done, I could read it any number of times from that point on.
until the next one comes out.
About 4-5 times.
3 times… sometimes only 2.
Uh….once....that's really all I need if it's in english
depends on the chapter,
if its a raw with lots of new characters and and plot explanation i could read it up to 5 times to try figure out who they are and what they are up to,
and if its a boring chapter that doesnt really go anywhere i read it once….
Before a new one? Only few times, usually only twice. Although sometimes I might quickly glance it through a few more times or check out a detail I forgot. But when I actually read it I usually look through it very careful and absorb all little things that I can get to fit into my little brains.
It depends. If I like it very much I read it 3 or 4 times. If it´s a "normal chapter" I read it only one time.

ten or fift ….. ???? man, u need help ... fast ... go see a doctor or something
just kidding ... i usually "translate" the pictures one or two times
when the translation is done ... i read it for 3-4 times
and when the scanlaton is avaliable ... i read it for one last time
If its good, I will read it over and over, Water 7 seems to be the only part of my collection that I kept re-reading it. Its great!
For me typicaly twice as soon as it comes out. Once when it first comes out using my limited reading skills and a dictionary. Then again when a proper translation is posted. If it was a really cool chapter i might go through it once or twice more. And I guess I'll read it once more when the scanlation comes out.
5 times. and then again when i get the translation.
I go through the raw without any scripts usually just once, again with scripts, then once more with the scanlation. I re-read arcs once in a while, so 3 or 4 times.
i look over the raw a couple of times, and when the scanlation is available, i read it usually just once. i might go back to it to check something, but i'm not much of a re-reader.
I only look at a raw chapter once before the translation is available. If I keep looking at it without knowing what they're saying, waiting for a translation would absolute kill me.
I'll look at it went i download it, then glance back when reading the boards, then the scanlations, and when a "no new chapter" comes up, read about 20 chapters to get the "flow" of the story.
I read the raw once quickly before translating it.
I read the raw again while I translate.
I read the translation when I'm done translating it.
Then I read the raw again simply to appreciate it.
And I read again when Tanko comes out.
Other than that, I used to read them again when Stephen's and Null's version come out, but I haven't done so lately since I don't really have time x.x
When I get a raw on the web, I usually only read it once, maybe twice… In order for me to read it over and over again, it has to be in some kind of a book lol ^_^;; Like if I have a copy of WSJ, even if I only have that volume, I'll reread it probably 10 times or more lol. Tankobon are the same.... I could probably reread any volume at any time any number of times.
I'm usually so excited when a raw come out that i go through it really fast, then i slow down and will read it once or twice. Then i read it when the script comes out. Then i read it when the scanslation comes out.
i glance at the raw as soon as it's avaiable.
i read it carefully once with the translation.
i read it carefully from two to four times after the scanalation is released.
i check it whenever i have a doubt.
usually once every 3 months i've done a re-reading of the whole series. usually in two nights straight.
For me it depends. I think I read the battle between Mihawk and Zoro twenty or so times.
first when the raw is out i look quickly all pages
second i look at it again slowly enjoy every single panel
third i read it together with the translation
fourth read it again
fith read it short again before the new chapter comes out
sixth when the german volume is out
seventh compare translation with german version
eighth when a arc is complete re-read the complete arc in one
and then from time to time i re-read parts from op again and again and again.
Usually once through until I get the tanks when I pour over them to augment my crew data page and then about 999999999 times for finding errors.
However when I'm in Japan and have a nice solid JUMP in my hands I'll read through it countless times. I dunno, I can't stand sitting in front of the comp seriously reading it.
i like skim it like the furst 2 times..then i read it again with more caution. lol.
I take time to examine each page if it's raw. Then I read the translation at a normal pace and I'm done until next week. If there's no chapter the next week I read it over again so I don't forget what's going on in the story.
1. Quick look through when Raw is out
2. Again when translation is out
3. Again when scanlation is out
4. Once the arc is over, I re-read it
5. I usally Colour pages, so I'll read chapters to find good pages
6. Every so often when I re-read OP manga over and over.
Like three times over for me. I read it super quickly then slow down the last two to understand what I missed
yea 3 for me too. i 1st look at the pictures. then when a translation comes out, i read it while lookin at the pictures. then when a scanned translation comes out i read it once more.
I read it bout 3 times
once for the raws cause i memorize what happens udring the chapter. If scanlations appear, i read it another time. If i do not get what the translators meant in their translation, i'll read it again.
when raw is out i read
when translation is out i read again, sloowwwllyyyy
then i read it again
and then when scanlation comes out i read it again 1 or 2 times.
when anime comes out for it i watch it 2-3 times lol, but thats offtopic now
Hrmm, when a new volume comes in the mail I read a few chapters then re-skim once just to clarify the details and write down any new words and usages I've learned from it. Then I'm all set to watch the episode since i've got all the vocab down for sure.
i read it until i get it in other words more then one time cause im stuped. (if your wondering im sleeeeepy so forgive me about those comments)
Once… then I delete it and wait for the scanslation to archive that one
