I got Narutimate Hero 3 for more $, and it's was worth it.
It's got 40 characters, including all the Hokages, it has the 5 Sound ninja, and it's got more levels.. The mision mode is pretty awesomeBasically, it has the same graphics but more enhanced, and smoother.You should get it, it's worth it.
BTW, this should be on the Help forums.
This is better than NH2, btw. It's an opinion, tho, not a fact.

Well mission mode is rpg mode. There aren't too many rpg guides and it is japanese heavy, though that crooked jester site (see the link in the one piece fighter thread) has a think some tutorials in the forum. I have never played 2 or 3 (I have 2 though, I just need magic keys), though they look awesome. They're are a lot of videos on youtube to by ssj zac.

Pros:
This is actually a really good game. The capablities itself if pretty broad. Unless you play in very hard mode, its pretty easy since some of the coms are really stupid and easy. Every single character has a different way of fighting, but almost all characters are generally the same when it comes to combos. The missions vary from really hard to really easy. There are many secrets and unlockables, from characters to figurines. From video clips to ougi techniques. The most interesting thing about number 3 is that you can date people, which is really creepy in some cases. You can only date certain characters and be compatable with certain people. The things that are unlocked are things like characters. Generally the action scenes of the Ougi techs are really cool. I'm partial to shikamaru's shadow neck bind and my all time favorite Kiri Kiri Mai of Temari. This game takes a lot of time if you dont use any cheats at all. Some characters are really hard to use such as Hyuuga Hanabi (the weakest character of the game based by stats and playability) and the easy to use cheap bad-ass characters like Yondaime Hokage (the best character based by stats and playabilityThe cons:
Some of the missions get really tedius and boring. Some of the fun is taken out of the game when people like Yondaime are introduced (Yondaime makes the screen all matrixy). The area of the game is very limited, which only gives you 2 2-D~ish types of screen play, unlike CoN (clash of the ninjas dur) where you get a full 3D 360 area. As stated before, unless you want a challenge, you should put in on very hard mode, but even then you get used to it. The fighting styles are all different, but the controls are generally the same. You have to play a lot, and I mean, A LOT to unlock everything without cheats, and sometimes it's not even worth it. Some of the graphics of this game looks really generic.All in all I rate it an 8.5/10

Well its worth it becasue even if you cant read japanese like me i still understood it from wat they were saying and faciel expression the battle mode is really coold missions are really awsome like getting gumbunta or akumaru and youre in that box really fun this game

I really don't see how clash of ninja is 3dish area. Even if it is, the battle arena area is so small it's kinda patheic. While it looks cool when the show it from a 3d ish angle you automatically get backed into a wall. The stages need to be wider and stuff. I loved the first ulitimate ninja game because you could run up walls and stuff. It wasn't like you were trapped in a box. More spacious.

This game looks real good. I havent played an anime games before but this look very promising. It seems like its a Naruto dynasty warriors type game. The preview looks fun, I might have to rent this when it comes out and if it has replay value I will buy it.
They are saying the play map is very big and detailed.

1. I heard this game sucked
2. I hate that they call ransengan "Power strike" It sounds so lame. While yet they keep the name of chidori.Also in the game the 5th hokage was suppose to be the one giving naruto the mission. Now its the thrid =/.

Anyways, from what I hear, Naruto Chronicles is a decent game, not great but decent.

I disagree. I mean most anime games arent good, and the anime games they have reviewed deserved the score it got.

Not really. Grand Adventure got like a 2 out of 5. That was a horrible rating. Grand adventure was an excellent game, the combo's were so fun to pull off. It was so unique and fun. That and I wouldnt mind x-play if they didnt always bashed on how anime sucks. Yes the games might suck though thats no reason why they should bash it. They are reviewing the game not the show. Anime games are almost only fun to people that are funs of the show in question. As much as I love GB Rush, I would give it a 3 out of 5 at the very, very most. OP games are fun to us because they're marketed to us, but I wouldn't really call them stellar.
I don't think there's really been any Naruto games worth their salt, either.

I saw that review too, they constantly bashed the simplicity of the game and the bad voice acting.
The new game looks very pretty and all, the screenshots with robot bugs kind of cause me to gag a bit. What kind of technology do these ninjas have, I havn't seen one automoblie or motorcycle in the series so how did they skip onto robotics all of a sudden?!:blink:

Expect to see part 3 around the time US gets to the Sasuke Retrieval Arc. Probably right before, or after that arc. So maybe in another 2 years although by then, they probably won't be making PS2 game anymore.

They gave Dragonball Z for the Wii a 4 out of 5 if i'm correct, its not that they give anime games bad reviews because their anime games its is that most anime games suck, if it wasn't for the fact that we like the anime show we would probably never play those games.

I was under the impression that they called Rasengan "Power Strike" to avoid spoiling it in the anime, the dub is quite a few episodes away from Rasengan.
I played it, and I suppose it was alright, the fights were kind of boring, although playing as Choji was fun.
