The bridge situation

Hi, I decided to open this thread cause I´m really curious about your thoughts how the Strawhats will be getting away from this awfull situation (standing on the plate, surrounded by 9 gigantic battleships ready to fire). Will they get away at all? Luffy should be pretty wasted after his fight with lucci; Zorro could perhaps take down a ship on his own (Mihawk-style), but the Marines probably wouldn´t be waiting until he finished ship after ship when they have the finger on the button. What way do you see?

The twirls will come back, and the ships will all sink…

Well, actually, i don't have any idea :P
That was just an hypothesis, and thinking better, if the twirls come back, their escape ship would sink too…

yeah, that's why….if Sanji did close the gate, then their own escape ship would be sinking along with the Buster Call ships...

Ok my turn now.
Sanji will destroy one or two Buster Call ships, thanks to the canons which are in the ship where he is now. Then the mugiwaras can profit of the confusion to escape…
Other than that stupid theory, I don't know what Oda has in mind concerning the next events on the bridge (as usual), but no doubt that Sanji will play a great part to help the crew to escape.
I don't think that Sanji will close the Gate of Justice since I don't know how he could manage to do it.

The more I think about it I believe that creating some confusion for escape can not be the way. You need some time to ready your ship and a lot more to distance yourself from the (surviving) battleships. They have proven their firepower and accuracy - I think even a single one of those monsters would blow the escapeship out of the sea in no time.
So the only option I see is to bring each and every one down!!

If sanji closes the gates by… uhm... swimming there or something, he probably can't swim back XD but he'll surely do something outrageous to save the day, though.

If it's necessary, Luffy probably could join the fight on the bridge, but considering the speed in which they take out their enemies right now, the fight would probably go forever - after all there are 10k soldiers and 5 vice admirals left. And before they really finished all the marines, their enemies will have called for backup. So my hopes rest on Sanji's shoulders XD

How about the ultimate Oda twist (zomg!)

Sanji goes and closes the gates, but since the twirly whirleys are back he can't leave with the rest of the SH, and he ends up being the crewmember that leaves the SH (temporarily) because of his sacrifice.

I mean I know Ussop technically left the crew and all, but realistically he's still around whereas someone could still leave leave for a while.

After reading the new chapter it seems I have to postpone my "Nami releases hell"-theory as she is in the midst of the melee. But I won´t give up hope completly, perhaps the boys can buy her some room to breathe (and act) - I really would love to see her destroying the entire Fleet, getting the highest bounty of all Strawhats (except perhaps Luffy)

In any case I believe the real climax of the arc lies right before us!!!

Depends how many marines are in the decks below, we know that all the tougher fighters are attacking the crew now but than they have the vice-admirals with those normal marines that they picked up off Enies Lobby.

Well as everyone else has said Sanji will pay a fairly major role in the escape, maybe when he's struggling someone like Zoro will help out in some way.
I'm thinking Galley-La and Franky Family may turn up sometime soon as well, because I know for a fact that I don't think they're dead!

it will never happen…...... because there are 5 Vice Admirals there...... at least one of the 5 is stronger than Lucchi......

I agree, if Lucci is stronger than the VA's, they wouldn't have shot at the ship he was on so wrecklessly. Regardless if he can dodge it, you never know how someone will react during a fight, maybe his heads out of it, maybe Gigant attacks made him dizzy, you just wouldn't attack unless you were sure he was expendeable.

Actually i think Lucci surpasses all of these VA's however i highly doubt that they'll retreat.

Putting all the marines rambling together we learn that Ennies Lobby was secured for 800 years by the power of CP9 + it is stated elsewere that Lucci is CP9s strongest and coldest asassin ever => this guy is a 800 year fighting legend !

Only problem the guy who took him down seems to be out of the game to … so even "weaker" VA should pose a hefty threat for the remaining Strawhats. Not even considering the "weak" captains, lieutenants and other marines that should be tiring out the SH by their vast numbers.
Worst: even if the SH should really look like winning the melee they surely would be blown into the sky by the concentrated firepower of the BC!

by pointing out Lucci as a 800 year fighting/killing legend I tried to make clear that I see him way above every average VA.
By the second part I tried to say that the strenght of the VA is not the only factor in the remaining situation and that I can´t see any reason for them to retreat.
