Yes, we need a soda discussion.

Do you like soda? Which one? Which one do you hate the most? etc etc.

I LOVE Pepsi. But… I would never.. ever.. drink this:

I don't generally like soda…...not American ones anyway But if I had to drink something, I would definitely go for Dr.Pepper.

Now Japanese sodas........ are wonderful :lol: Starting with Mitsuya cider, ramune, CC Lemon and CC Grape, soda calpis (or calpis soda or whatever)...... I like most of what they have over there lol. I could go on and on listing soft drinks if those count as well hehe

I've never liked Dr. Pepper. It was a long time since I tried it. It was in school and I had a hang-over. Maybe it was because of that ? I don't think I would like it if I tested it again, though.

I'm addicted to Pepsi. I just need a hit a few dozen times a day. Its a bad scene. Not as bad as it used to be (2 liters a day) but still pretty bad (2 liters in 4-5 days).
Before Pepsi it was Mt. Dew. Drank it all day long in high school but started drinking other stuff when I got to college.
I also l-o-v-e Tahitian Treat. Its like carbonated fruit punch. Goes great with Pringles (not that Pepsi doesn't).
Lastly, Vanilla Coke is a fine and wonderful thing. As is Cherry Coke, Chocolate Coke (mmm… chocolate) and most of the other flavored Coke's I have tried. The ONLY thing I can stick in Pepsi (aside from ice) is ice cream. Pepsi has to be straight up or not at all.

I love CC Lemon! I especially loved it when they had the Simpsons on the bottles.
Mostly I drink whatever kind of diet soda I can get (I can barely tell the difference taste-wise between diet and regular, and I don't need all that extra sugar), but unfortunately it's hard to find much in that category. I really like that 7-up Mixed Berry stuff that came out recently. Also I think I'm the only Japanese person in the world who likes root beer, but I had a very strange upbringing so I guess that's only to be expected.
Can't stand flavors: cream soda, vanilla, chocolate. I just find them so eeewwww.

I don't know if you'd exactly call it a soda, but Iced Tea's my favourite pop drink. Tastes good.

I'm not much of a soda drinker. I quit dark sodas (like Coke and Pepsi) when I was around 7 or 8 because they gave me stomach aches (maybe it was the caffeine?). I mostly stopped drinking other soda in high school, although occasionally I like to drink a good root beer. Which is odd, because up until a few years ago, I hated root beer.

Ohh I actually like root beer too! Guess you're not the only one lol :lol: I don't love it and don't drink it much but it's one of my more preferred sodas.

I've noticed several references to "Dr. Pepper". FOOLS! You lack fanaticism if you don't know that there's no "." in "Dr Pepper".

…that said, that's pretty much the only soda I drink, and even then, it's pretty much only on the rare occasion that I go out to eat. If I'm at home, it's pretty much always just milk or water.

But why does the TV only advertise the diet versions of Dr Pepper and Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper?

For me I like good old Pepsi, but we've got some die-hard coke loyalists in my family.

I miss Pepsi One. And did you know that that new Pepsi "half-carbs/calories" thing (forgot the name) is the only remotely diet soda that doesn't have any aspartame? (a chemical used in diet sodas that's really bad for you) I checked.

For me it has to be the Golden Cola –> caffeine free, no sugar.
i have my reasons:
1st of all I'm not allowed to have caffeine, 2nd I don't take much sugar to me cuz If I do I would throw up (no I don't have an eatin' disorder).

I do drink sometimes Sprite, I just like it, but not very often. hm.. that are the two sodas I drink the most.

Pepsi One is still around, its just not always easy to find. They just changed its formula (and packaging) though and to me it lost something in the process. Also the new trend is for diet sodas to use Splenda (the de-sugared sugar - not exactly sure what it is). The new version of Pepsi One uses it but to me it seems like it lost any refreshing quality it might once have had.
Me, I'm more worried about the caffeine than the aspartame.

my uncle is addicted to pepsi …he drinked it ,since he was like 13 or 14 ,now he is like 48 or 47 ...he drink everyday like 7 or 8 cans of them ..he's crazy ...lol ..but i prefer Fanta...

My favorite soda is definitely Mountain Dew, though (any flavor; I love them all). There's something about the caramel sodas that just feels like I'm drinking tooth-rot (which I know all sodas do, but with those you can just feel it), and I'm way more partial to citrus flavors anyway… like Sprite, 7-Up, ginger ale, etc. I really like Dr Pepper, though.

Gourmet soda, sort of (it's pretty rare to find if you don't live in a big city). Pure lime flavor. No caffeine and not too much carbonation, so that the flavor isn't all sour as hell. It's totally shanghai; I love it. :lol:

Ok, gonna have to try and track this down. I like to think that Columbus is reasonably big and I do know at least one store where I might be able to get it. The bottle looks kind of distinctive though so I would think I would remember seeing it (though I am usually on the prowl for Gale's Root Beer at that store so I might have missed it).

I generally like pepsi or cola. It just makes me happy (right about a minute ago I was drinking cola). I also like Fanta raspberry (I don't know if fanta is well known outside of holland though).

I remember my uncle said that once the guy who owns the pepsi company once did a test to see if he could tell the difference between coca cola and pepsi. In the end he actually couldn't tell. But I'm not sure if its true, though I can actually taste the difference (I don't know why though).

Around here, at least, it's kind of a popular drink in restaurant-bars and stuff (it doesn't have any alcohol, though ;p) so you might want to stop in at a place like that and see if they carry something like it. I'm thinking a restaraunt kind of akin to an Applebee's or Red Robin, but… not so mainstream, if you get what I mean. :lol: It's those kinds of restaurants that serve it in glasses. Plastic bottles I have never seen anywhere aside from my school, which gets it from some manufacturer I don't know of.

Cherry Coke, Dr Pepper and any other cherry based cokey beverage of a liquid type order do not deserve the atmosphere they exist in.

Forgot about the all important Stewart's Orange and Cream soda. It tastes like a Dreamsicle! Wonderful stuff! The Cherry and Cream is like… well... a Cherry Dreamsicle! Their Key Lime is good too.

I don't drink soda too often, maybe once or twice a week (if even), or if I need the caffeine to stay awake. It's really unhealthy to have it all the time.

Typically when I drink soda, I drink Sprite. I really don't have a preference between coke or pepsi. My college had a huge deal with the coke company, and we only have coke products on campus, which doesn't leave me with much choice. However, I do like cherry coke and wild cherry pepsi as well.

Not a big soda drinker either, not even when I was a kid. Didn't like the carbonation, it burned my throat. Now, I enjoy root beer and the occassional Sprite, but that's about it, really. I'll drink Coke or Pepsi if I'm in the mood and it's on hand, but I never seek them out or spend money on them.
