I was reading omae's site for some random DF durations and stumbled onto something.

      -=The Age of Heaven=-

306: In Erumalu the Great Temple Taph is completed.

      …

Now, if I remember correctly, the early translations of the Great Warrior Pirates' homeland, Ebalf, was "Elubalu", which looks/sounds suspiciously simmilar to Erumalu.

So, if the validity of what Robin was saying way back when in Arabasta is determined to be correct, could it be that the Ebalf Giants and Arabastans were ancient allies? I mean, constructing a temple to an (allegedly) Arabastan diety in Ebalf seems like a gesture of good will on behalf of the two nations, especially since the Ebalf Giants are totally dedicated to their own God.

Now, the real question is; were the Ebalf Giants members of the "World Kingdom", or opponents of it? As allies, the Arabastans would be on Ebalf's side. With their outrageously long life-spans, it's possible that there might be some giants still around who lived in that time, which might explain why, barring the potential for massive destruction, Dorry and Broggy were branded with huge bounties; they were typecasted as potential beings who heard (second hand) about what happened in the Blank Century by Giants who actually experienced it.

It's a personal theory of mine that Ebalf is currently in the grip of the World Government, but there's nothing to support that idea (yet).

I like this theory, but we,ll wait to see if Elbaf is under the goverments eye when the SH,s arrive at Elbaf(which im sure they will do)

Come to think of it where is Elbaf located on the world map anyway.I suppose its deep in Grand line somewhere where its hard for WG to reach.

I like the theory, but I wouldn't think that the Elbaf are allied with the World Goverment or anything, since they are a warrior tribe, they probably can take on the World Goverment, just like that…...... at least that what I think......

Erumalu is the "Green City" on the west side of the Sandora River in Arabasta. 😉

Sure it's interesting, but it's loosely based.

You wrote all of that from pure speculation after reading the translation of "Elababu". Next time, look for a solid basis.

In answer to the topic question, no. Did this really deserve it's own thread?

That's one of the things Robin says when she's reading off the history of Alabasta (AKA Lying to Crocodile about the contents of the Poneglyph).

In all honesty, Elbaf has to be the largest island on the Grand Line. Why? Because a bunch of giant people live on it. And the giants could easily slap around anyone who challenged them, except someone of Aokiji's might or greater.

Since there are no demons (Or angels, Skypeians don't count), I'm guessing all 3 admirals will show up at Elbaf along with our mysterious antagonist that ate the Momo momo no Mi. After all, it is one of Japan's most popular kid's stories.

I called it wrong, so long ago. I guess this needs to be changed.
