Does anyone know where to get scanlations for chapters 200+ besides NULL and the MSN group? Someone I know is trying to catch up and they don't like NULL's work very much(even though I think it's awesome).
Chapters 200+ scanlations besides NULL

Well, RUSH has been doing OP since the early 400s (I know at least 409).
A few chapters before that were done from a group 'Chikusho' (406, 407 at least)… amusingly one has an ad for a dating service in it. If they said "Now with Califa!", they'd be getting somewhere.
It wouldn't surprise me if the scan landscape is littered with "we did 2 or 3 chapters and lost interest" groups, maybe enough to piece together a storyline. At least one team will be fairly consistent.
Worst case, buy tankos, read Stephen's scripts.

If your friend doesn't like null, then he'll have to wait for viz to catch up and it'll be long cause no other teams managed to edit long enough like we did for years. Yet i still recommend him to get v26 and v27 HQ from null cause they are edited from tanks, contains covers, extras and sbs and are in very good quality.

Right. A lack of a single dedicated group was one of the contributing factors to Naruto being more popular than One Piece, and we have NULL & K-F to thank for bringing OP up from obscurity to a fraction of the popularity it truly deserves.
Oh, on an off-note, kikiboudka; does NULL derive its name from Cobra's speech, where he says "The past cannot be declared into null"?

Thanks for that Malintex_Terek, one of the reason why one piece hadn't many scanlating for years is that the raws were really bad ! and one piece has much more details than naruto so it's harder than naruto but a good thing is that with the creation of many mq teams, it obliged us to increase even more our quality.
if you want to know where null come from, go to our site www.n-u-l-l.net and in the staff section, there's a wiki about us.
edit: it's the about section now ^^.

Btw excepted from recent chapters, the scans on the msn page were null's… they started doing their own just like a couple of month ago.

Well yeah, he read 26 and 27 from NULL and liked them, but the he said the quality went downhill at 28. I should tell him that's because those two volumes were from tanks.
And yes, I know about the MSN group using NULL's scans until recently.
One more question since you with NULL. One of his complaints was that NULL got the official romanization right for the names (Gan Fall and Enel) in 26 and 27, but after that NULL changed the romanization (Gon Fouru and Eneru). Any explanation to that?

I'm not from Null at all (though I liek and read their scans). However I would assume it's because Vol 26 & 27 were re-edited later. So Vols 28+ are actually older scanslations. I believe they are re-doing Vol 28 at the moment.

We are indeed working on v28 but due to lack of textsetters and cleaners, we're kinda slow, we are still expecting to release wanted! from eiichiro oda and v28-recent in HQ. we also have a surprise on, it should be coming soon if i finish it -__-.

What's wrong with NULL? They are the best One Piece scanslation group around.

I agree, but my friend didn't like the decrease in quality from v27 to 28, nor are they okay with the fact that Null can't re-edit v28 as soon as possible.
He's not the kindest person…

If he's so unhappy about it what's stopping him applying to Null to do some of the work himself?
If he can't clean or typeset he shoudl learn to do it and help out instead of complaining about the rate of re-scanslation.

Yeah, we hate people who complain cause reedit one volume takes around 50-100 hours and when we see how some people thx us =( we are not really i the mood for speeding. of course quality dropped between v27 and 28, i should send your friend the raws one or two editors used for v28 and he should stop complaining. at first we didn't want to reedit those volumes cause they take a lot of time not for so much. but we decided to please the fans, to scan, retype the scripts from the released volumes, reproof them, translate extras like sbs and covers, then clean 200 pages and typeset them. to finish someone has to go through the final zip and check for mistakes… but v28 should come one day, don't worry. And if he still doesn't like it, he can come help us.

Well, he ended up reading through NULLs scanlations and is now caught up at 223(BTW, he says he thinks NULL really improved after Skypiea). Anyway, thanks to everyone for helping me out and answering my questions.

Yeah, he's a lazy jackass. But he's a pretty funny guy who likes One Piece so, whatever.
