Well, I think that finally convinced me to go start reading Flame of Recca…
Most good examples I can think of are taken, so I'll choose Dung Beetle from Bokurano.
His personality type (sort of a cheerful sadist) isn't really anything new, but his bluntness and status as the cute mascot of the series (combined with his personality) make him stand out more in my opinion.

Gluttony from FMA (Don't know if this was brought up) He is frikkin' fat, he eats people, animals, ANYTHING!! Hes face is so disturbing, and when he is chewing the head of some guy… Ughh..
I have to agree, Orochimaru is also very disturbing. He's a fuckin phedophiule, and his "right hand man" is gay. Just look at him.. Oh.. I think you'd be too disturbed to look for one sec.

I have to give this Toguro Ani from Yu Yu Hakusho. Because for many verison, and my opinion he is a bigger bastard Orochimaru and Gin combine. Espically insulting Genkai after she died infornt of both Yuskue, and Toguro Otto. Then of course he even more nastier in the Sensui arc.

Yoshikage Kira, the serial killer and main villian in part 4 of JJBA. He had a hobby (I think) where he would kill women, cut of their hand, and act like he was dating the hands. The opening scene with him liking mayonaise off the severed hand was disturbing enough.
Second place in my book would be Legato from Trigun (manga version). He had a strange eating fetish, a glutton if you will, and had a wierd scene where would eat food with his face down on his plate while having his hands were tied behind his back. Also, he use to be a sex slave but, the weird part is that he had his powers to control other people through telekinesis long before he was slave.:blink: Weirdest case of volunatary slavery if I ever heard of (unless Berserk can 1-up this).

I'd like to add Tony Tony Chopper to my list. It's one of the strangest, most frightening beasts of them all. It even gives Zod a run for his money. Just look in those cold, black, soul-less eyes. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry. And it's obviously a goat-based creature, so you KNOW it is of the devil.

Shira from Blade of the Immortal and Hisoka from HxH, the scene in Greed Island where Killua is getting his ass checked out made Hisoka really fucking weird. Killua from HxH was pretty damn messed up too.

The Earl of Milennium from D. Gray-Man. He's so cool and silly but disturbing... His silliness is partially what makes him frightening. He looks completely hamrless but simply laughs and sings as his monions insert themselves into human bodies so that they may kill more humans. He's sadistic and twisted but takes a humorous attitude towards his killing of people.

Given how the whole way shamans fight, I actually didn't find that as disturbing as the rest of him. Now you've got me wondering where he's hiding that skeleton under his jacket… Or maybe that's best left unanswered...

I'm eating ice cream right now and the stories of all those disturbing people you're telling actually made me dislike my icy treat! :blink: It's thanks to my imagination really, but gosh. Especially those with pictures made me feel uncomfortable. I tried to come up with someone who hasn't been mentioned yet and ta-DAA! Seishirou Sakurazuka from Tokyo Babylon, or rather Sakurazukamori. I thought he was creepy from the start, hitting on Subaru and all, but I really came to hate his guts when his true nature was revealed.

I'd have to say… Kefka from FFVI. His laugh was the creepiest fucking thing ever growing up. His theme song was awesome, though.
Also, Thanatos from Secret of Mana. That guy was just fucked up.

This is my #1 candidate. No he's not odd in appearance and as far as I know he doesn't rape babies or anything
! but Johan is so fucked up in so many ways and SOOO damn creepy. He's pretty in appearance but did all kinds of fucked up stuff even since his childhood and just the way he's so cold and manipulative. I'm just keeping up with the US manga, and the way he got all the kids to play the game of killing themselves/each other is so creepy!
I can't post any scans or give any specific examples but seriously he makes the Neo-Nazis in Monster look like idiotic pussycats.
Shoutouts to Hisoka (crotch love for boys), Sensui (Togashi's a madman, all kinds of crazy stuff in his otherwise tame shonen, I mean seven personalities, one of them a lady and one of them who loves killing toddlers or something), Doctor Kamiya (the stuff he did to Kido), Akito Sohma, Elder Toguro, The Milennium Earl, Service Man, Kimura-sensei (wanting little girl pool water), Knives, Lil Slugger/Shounen Bat, that FREAKY-ass stalker smart Tokyo U teacher dude who loved Azuza from GTO, Faust, and many others I forgot.
Probably pretty tame stuff (apart from the Monster character and Hisoka) but I'm more in to, well, tame stuff. Stuff that includes graphic rape, gory and gratuitous violence, etc is usually off my list (not to say it's crap or anything, just not what I like).
Edit: Also Kirisaki from Y! Japan. So awesome and evil (though not really disturbing… thoguh I suppose his transformation was a shock as is his cruelty in continually trying to kill Azuma).

Kanchome was pretty disturbing in the Last chapter of Konjiki no Gash Bell, besides being overall creepy looking, he did such horrible things that could only be expected from a villain.
But the most disturbing character that I've seen is Hisoka from HunterXHunter, that guy is pretty screwed up in so many levels, and there's also a Werewolf Looking Guy that devours human flesh and transforms it into Bullets, dunno what's his name, I've just started to read HXH.

Monster's villain would slit the throats of them and their children and friends then go have a cup of tea with some random little kids or old people and smile eerily at Tenma or something.
I mean I really don't see him above setting an orphanage on fire and casually walking away while the children burn.

The ones I know are Orochimaru (Obvious reasons if you watched the series… Especially at that scene before fighting the Hokage... Shudders), Mr.2 AKA Bon Clay(For some reason, I just find him very disturbing...), Haku (A guy that looks like a girl... That's disturbing enough for me...), and Naruto's Kimimaro (Or however it's spelled... He's an ok character and all, but the bone blade thing... Yeah... Kinda painful to think of for a real person to do that kind of move...)

Just the fact that, say, a horribly grotesque character or a creepy pedo like Hisoka might gross me out a little, but Johan can send chills up my spine just by, like, sitting still or eating an apple or pushing an old man in a wheelchair.
