But on the subject of Life Returns, I thought that that was something that just Kumadori knew! Where and when the hell did Lucci learn it? Plus, didn't Kumadori have to meditate for…lots before he could learn it? I sincerely doubt that Lucci could ever meditate, let alone for an extended amount of time. Y'know, that extreme bloodlust and all. I sense a potential plot-hole....

I'm love the way Lucci looks in this fight. I love the shirtless leopard Lucci. The fight is getting better and better with few interuptions. Great chapter although I still don't like the mermaid thing.

I thought for a second while browing through the picutres, the left half of the Mermaid picture was cut off as a surprise for next week. But I thought the bottom half looked banging hot.
Then my CDisplay moved to the next picture which was the top half of Kokoro and i was like….blahhhh

As stated in the spoiler thread. I was heavily dissapointed with Funk Freed's performance, I was actually hoping for one more matchup.. I didn't expect victory or anything, but all well.. There goes Spanda and Funk Freed..
Oda shouldn't have put hype on the Sword if it was going to backfire so easily. This event made the chapter somewhat less enjoyable.

That could be a possibility, but I'm saying he's just doing the Straw-Hats so Going Merry could still show up. I'm saying Franky after Merry though, with the title of the chapter being "The Eight Person," seeing as how he will be given an invitation to join the crew after Luffy defeats Lucci. His main reasons would be for protecting Robin while he was in battle and Usopp would make his return either that chapter or the following one.

So he can do 4 transformations and know Life Return? He surely has made good use of his fruit and powers.
I believe that Luffy will beat Lucci in the next chapter using Gear 2nd and some ubertrick. Gomu Gomu no Hurricane sounds good

This chapter was great and had a lot going on.
Lucci's life return ability, Chibi-Luffy, Spandam and Funkfreed being pwned by Franky, Galley-La and the Franky Family reaching the Main Gate and Kokoro's mermaid form.Also Selph, Lucci only has three transformations, he just used Life Return on his Man-Beast form to make himself slimmer.

I wonder if post Gear 3 (Chibi) Luffy can stretch himself. Obviously he'd still be rubber, but I mean, consciously stretch.
Also, I really REALLY hope Oda plans a color spread where all our heroes are mer-people just to counterbalance Mermaid Kokoro. Just imagine….Mermaid Nami and Robin...toss in Vivi too. And toss in the guys too whynot (Mer-Sogeking? Mer-Franky O_o) He could forgive DF powers for just one colorspread, right?

Excellent chapter this week.
Franky was even more super than usual, Robin is truly ok now, and Luffy Vs Lucci. Oh and then there was. . . My eyes! The goggles they do not work! Koroko fanservice.
I found the Spandam VS Franky fight very good even though it was short. You have to admit Spandam's got some good endurance. Didn't expect Franky dropping Frunkfried on Spandam. That gave me a good laugh.

I think Selph is right, Luffy will use Gear 2 again when he recovers and fall from the wall he looks like when he uses Gear 2, i think the fight is over in the next chapter.

I see so with Life Returns he can manipulate his devil fruit forms making him slimmer/more muscular. This new "Kami-e Form" will prove to be very hard I presume. But what I have learned, that whenever the main villains pull out a new weapon (Arlong's Sword, Croc's knife under the hook, Enel's god-form and now Lucci's Kami-e Form) Luffy gets rid of them as fast as he can. So yeah, next chapter we will see the fall of Rob Lucci, the bloodthirsty warrior. The chapter will probably end with the new trick so the chapter after that should be Enies Lobby: Getaway and the VAs' reactions.

I think I understand Gear 3's effects now.
When Luffy stretches out his bones with all that air, after a while they temporarily contract from the stress, compressing him into chibi form.

Ha, Franky beat up more CP9 agents. I'm just praying to Oda that he'll join now. My guess on Luffy's fight is that he'll Gigant Bazoka on Lucchi's back (with the Government sign on it) will propel him to the giant doors of Enies Lobby, causing a whirlpool.
I know I'm looking way too far into this but I wonder how 4kids deals with Kokoro mermaid form.:wassat:
