its just japanese written in roman characters that say roughly:
"this is a work of fiction. any coincidence with any person living or dead is purely coincidental... etc. etc." and what's worst, those damn marines took an auto-portrait i made and made their poster with it.

but i'm still a pretty fearsome swashbuckler. and i played all 4 monkey island games in a row. if that counts...

The sea is a mysterious place… it is known that there exists 2 forms of evil one are smilies which convey emotions in forms of little faces of few characters and the other, far more deadly, one which does not use any tiny faces. it is far more deadly because without the little face, even the simplest jokes could be misinterpreted as aggravated insults.
