I recall someone had started one with the SMB1 ROM:
Luffy and Zoro instead of Mario and Luigi
Arlong as Bowser
Possibly MEAT for mushrooms.

That was me. I lost everything after my computer crashed. All thats left is the pics I did from it that is in media somewhere.
It was the Gomu Gomu no mi that was the Mushroom, Zoro's Sword was the star, and meat was the cloud platform. -
