Hey, I got an e-mail from an old classmate, who has some research to do. She has to look for popular places to chat on the internet. Places like MSN or Live Journal.
I'm not a big online chatter. I only post here. But I'm not sure AP would be considered popular. I wanted some geeky and popular suggestions to give her. (I love flaunting my geeky side) I thought it would make a fun topic to post popular chat places people go to around here. (other than AP)
It's pretty big, but for the love of GOD read the rules and lurk before you think about posting.

There's also a lot of unwritten rules which you have to find out by lurking the forums. Such as "No backseat modding. Meaning trying to point out problems that the 52 mods can do themselves."
Yotsuba has been an incredibly useful resource for me now; I've had to train myself to not be a bastard outside of posting there, though. >.>;
the only problem with 4chan is its pretty much an 18 forum, and with this being a PG-13 forum a lot of the members shouldn't really go there lol.
Personally I'd say Live Journal or something.

The forum category /a/ is PG-13 because nothing that isn't "work-safe" cannot be posted. In this, it's a more appropriate place for children then, say, wakachan.
Other than here, I only use MSN.
