@igetownd:
I'm quite sure Buggy didn't give a rat's ass about the village he blew up with his Buggy Bomb. It wasn't completely demolished thanks to Luffy, but with the way the mayor was about the village, he was really gonna destroy it.
Yes, but there was no one in the village. And even if he was going to kill them it's because they wouldn't listen to him in the first place. If was in Enels position I'm sure he wouldn't do that, since everyone would listen to him. And the same if he was in Croc's position. Arabasta adored Croc.
The bounty reflects the level of danger the pirate poses to the government. If Buggy is very strong, the government will see him as a threat. However, Luffy has nakama that the government doesn't want alive, has openly waged war against the government, and has defeated one of their most powerful forces, the CP9, and is going to defeat an even stronger force, Buster Call.
**You can't say that the SH are going to defeat Buster Call. There are many different views on that matter. It's best ot to bring the current BC up.
I agree buggy's bounty will probaley be under Luffy's, but I don't think it will be by a large amount.**
Buggy isn't a guy who will stand up against a stronger foe. Ace's visit to Buggy proved that, as Buggy didn't dare mess with Ace in fear of Whitebeard. With a foe as strong as the WG, Buggy will move as incognito as possible. So how will he get through the Grand Line? By being a sly cowardly thief who only challenges the easy stuff and avoids the hard stuff.
**You know this proves nothing, at all. Buggy has MET Whitebeard before. I'm sorry but that example hold no ground at all. So what if he feared the strongest man in the world? Few people wouldn't. Killing Ace knowing Whitebeard is going to come after you juust for money is pretty freakin stupid. Esp when there is a chance the marines would catch you when you turn Ace in.
Plus for all we know Buggy has an emotional connection to Newgate. there could have been other reasons as well.**
Buggy and Shanks started out as pirate apprentices on the same pirate ship. Look at Buggy now, and look at Shanks. Buggy can't even hold a candle to Shanks, who's communication with Whitebeard startles the Gorousei. And Luffy's using his idea of Shanks as his role model.
Okay, so? We don't know if Buggy ever travelled the GL like he is now. chances are, he never did. He has been on the GL before. but there are many ways. He could have gone in that pirate ship with shanks and didn't do anything. for all we know buggy's flashback took place in the GL. Now he has a reason to travell the Gl. And no matter who the hell you, travelling the GL will make you stronger.
So what's the difference between Buggy and Luffy? Their view on pirating is different, but so is their view on life. Luffy beats the hard stuff and becomes rapidly stronger and stronger, while Buggy does easy stuff and gets by. Who's gonna be stronger?
**Again this statment holds no ground. It seems pretty obvious Buggy would risk his life for tresure. And the bolded part has absolutley no basis whatsoever. Your assuming. Any proof, at all? Sure he's rather take the treasure with no one knowing, but that won't always be the case. Just like Luffy would probaley want to automaticlly be strong as Roger. but he knows he has to work.
Luffy and Buggy are similar, yet different.**
